  1. Yeah, swords have different times of weapons in them, but they are all short swords. So any of them will not lose the AC you built.
  2. Oh I understand now. Like how swords have short swords and daggers. Nearly lost me there ^^'
  3. No, they have five of the same type of weapon. It'd be bad for them if they had five weapons of different types. As long as you have the same weapon type, like all two-hand swords when you switch between them you don't lose your AC points you built up. If you have different weapon types like switching from a sword to a staff you'll lose all of your points. So most people using weapons will have five of the same weapon or at least same type. Mages are the only ones that don't need them, because elemental properties on weapons mean nothing to the damage of our spells.
  4. Five weapons? That's quite a lot of skil points to invest in o_o'
  5. Yeah, the guides will help. Though everyone is going to have different opinions. So what works for you is going to be the best. The elemental stuff will help because you'll be able to target things for more damage. Though I suspect that the ones that say not to use them, provide encourage the use of having elemental weapons. One of the standards in the game for melee fighters, bow users included. Is to have five weapons, one for each element and then a base non-elemental one. This way you're always effective in a fight.
  6. Or a bow user xD

Seeing the help guides online, some criticize the elemental arrow use while others encourage it. Honestly, I think it helps to have them in the long run. I've been able to KO Fire Scorpions with just two Ice Bolts.
  7. Yeah, you generally want to be willing spend a little at times because you'll get some good returns on it. But like I said, I'm a mage so I'm not the best on answering melee fighter questions.
  8. Lately I've been using a Knight only when things get pretty ugly, or when I just don't have the patience to deal with an enemy (like a Direspider). I had restricted myself on using skills that cost no MP until the second game, which made me realize I could take down enemies faster that way.
  9. That's good to hear. The game takes a little getting used to and the dynamics. The original first game had a fair bit of complexity in the combo system, but that got made obsolete from the way people talked. I never used them too heavily, because I went for mage after my first rebirth. So I didn't get too deep into combos as mages never use them.
  10. Yeah, and from what I can tell I can become more of a support party member, which is okay with me. Staying on top of everything would help me focus on the bigger priorities in the end, though my reflexes still need to be worked on (a party member usually runs out of HP before I can heal them). Lately I've also been able to take down giant enemies like Stone Golems much faster after some practice and experimenting with other skills, so it looks like I'm improving
  11. The neoseeker forums are pretty good and they have a wiki as well. So that can help you out. I found their stuff to be more friendlier and helpful than gamefaqs when related to WKC.
  12. It took me a while, but I managed to find the necessary switches. The rooms on the map I needed to go to were small so I must have missed them. I plan to look up ways to strengthen my character as I feel things will only get harder from here. I feel like I haven't done enough, especially since I haven't done any quests and have only done a few errands.
  13. It is best to be thorough in the place. As long as you cover all of the ground you'll eventually do what you need to do. The leveler/switches are on different floors from the objectives you need to reach. So you have to do a little traveling.
  14. I need to. I won't be able to make progress otherwise, though I guess it's not so bad if I can get practice in.

Thanks. I tend to feel better after a nap, and I'm able to focus more when I'm calm. And you're right, I need to keep moving forward.
  15. Yeah, it is a little confusing to navigate it. But once you get the hang of it, it is not so bad. It is fairly systematic so you just need to figure it out and it'll make sense.

Well keep moving forward. As long as you keep going forward you'll be able to recover in time.
