Huzzah!!!!! I'm mid-way through Chapter 12. I finally upgraded my weapons and some accessories. And now I'm done upgrading; I did it all at once. I got all characters with their weapon to the second teir and each weapon is maxed. So, if I had some traps I could get their ultimate weapon but I don't but I know I can beat the game b/c I'm stronger than last time. Mwahahahahaha
Yo. Finally left the Fifth Ark, and now I'm at the very beginning of chapter 11. Wish me luck. Maybe I'll get around to finishing the game!
Unfortunately, for the game, I really enjoy chapter 11 because that is when the player finally gets all the freedom; I, however, don't like chapter 11's part of the story as it is pretty lame/filler. I say unfortunately because I would prefer if I greatly enjoyed more of the game than I do. Good Luck. After beating Raines you don't have much farther to go. Then you'll be facing off against the fiends of Pulse. Difficulty definitely spikes in chapter 11.
What's stopping me from completing it is that I got bored with the place. It has a HORRIBLE level design, and it's really taking me out of the game... Sad to say that, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is. It's like..."Oh, have a seen this area before?" It's because they used the same design for different areas. Makes it seem like you're running in circles, even when you're progressing forwards. I'll give it a go later tonight though.... Can't be too much longer before I'm finished with the place. I beat Cid Raines the last time I picked it up and played, so there's that. I agree that I like that you now have full control of the party. That's pretty nice.
The Fifth Ark does have a cutscene that reveals more of the plot, which I liked because the characters are focused way more than the plot. I don't mind the characters have a lot of screen time but I need a balance. It doesn't help though that I don't like a couple of the characters, but if they handled them differently, added more themes into the game, and focused a bit more on the plot as well I could've not cared about the game being so restrictive. But back to getting through FFXIII: I don't find it that much of a pain, I know my second time through there I didn't fight all the enemies because I was rushing to Gran Pulse. What is stopping you from completing the Fifth Ark? Also, I think the Fifth Ark isn't that bad because the player is able to finally form their own parties, a bit of freedom, compared to chapters 1-9 (excluding the last part of chapter 9). Though, I don't mind chapters 1 & 2 as they were the setting (TBH they should've been just one chapter). Chapter 3 isn't that bad though there are some scenes where I got annoyed by Hope and Vanille. Chapter 4 is eh, something should have happened in that chapter, along with the character interaction, to spruce up the plot. Chapters 5 & 6 I lean to not liking because after chapter 2 there is nothing to the overall plot, just character development and these two chapters are dragging me for more. Which is why I like chapter 7 it gives us a little something. Ch. 8 was too damn short and that great either as there was more character development and very little plot.
Heck yeah FF XII! Heh... Do you wanna come over to my house so you can get me passed the fifth ark? Seriously... How did you stand to play through that place a SECOND time? I can barely get passed it the first. >>;
So I'm thinking of finishing off this run of Fainaru Fantaji Satin now; I'll probably be done by tomorrow as I don't know how much time I'll be able to put into the game today. Then once that is done I can focus on my second playthrough of Final Fantasy XII . I could also quickly blast through the last parts of Final Fantasy IV DS; I don't have much left to do in that game (got to go to the moon, Tower of Babel, then side-stuff and final dungeon). Then once FF IV is done I'll go to Final Fantasy VI. Whew.
Ah..car troubles. It's always when you gotta be somewhere important that it happens...at least in my case it does. I've never been to a comedy club. That would be a neat experience, I think. It's good to discover new talent, but I agree that it would be awesome to see a more "established" comedian do their act.
Hey there G-G-G-GuRRRRRRRRRRRRRl!!!!!!!!!!! So my girlfriend and I had free passes for a comedy club for tonight's show however as I went to start my car my battery had died on me again. I went to Sears to get some jumper cables and a new battery - my old battery had died a couple of days earlier but my stepdad was able to start it up again, he said if it died again then the problem is the battery. When we got back to my car, for the hell of it, I tried to start my car which it was able to - YAY. So we went to Sears to get the new battery installed which took a hour and fifteen minutes so we were unable to go to the comedy club. The event was "Clash of the Comics" and it had locals trying to battle it out for the top spot. It would have been nice to go but things went sour. It was free for the first 150 people - 21 + - but after that it was half-off ($5) so it still wasn't bad. The only thing I wish is that a comedian I know and like comes to the comedy club, they have a lot of people I haven't heard. Gabriel Iglesias did come by recently for his tour but I was unable to make that.
No... I get distracted with other games and stuff going on irl, and I just can't bring myself to finish this one up. I will eventually though....maybe.

O_O I can't believe that they banned you permanently... Over something that can be settled in a reasonable manner, no less. They take their frustrations out on your GF as well? That's really not fair to her. I think you're hesitant to respond because you don't want it to escalate further. It's good that you're taking the time to reflect on what you've written. I'm sure you don't want to send it off without thinking over all the consequences of your action, though you really aren't in the wrong. But still, there's no need to send a heated letter (if it's heated at all) and just cause more of a rift without thinking about it first. That shows maturity. And that's a good thing.
Y'know, not really, but anyhuma... I saved what was my response at the time, not complete, but now I am thinking that I should not reply because it is not worth it. Or is the feeling of not wanting to do because I don't have a drive to respond the reason? Is that bad that I don't have the drive? Perhaps that is because I don't find responding worth the time and effort. That I don't value the person as much as before that makes me not value responding. Then again, perhaps later tomorrow I'll finish my response. I'll have to think on it.
These are the same people that banned me, temporarily, however with this latest heated exchange I'm forever banned. It sucks for my girlfriend, whom I feel sorry for, but I don't care about interacting with them. They are now "acquaitances" than friends as I there behavior has been very poor and I don't want to associate with them too much. I'll be civil when, and if, we meet in public, though the same may not be the same for them as they may make a comment.
I'm sorry to hear that... I agree that you had every right to stand up for yourself, and your friend is just taking it too much to heart. Are these the same people that banned you from the apartment not that long ago? If it is, then they are definitely being childish about it. Perhaps you should spend some time away from these people, so you all can cool your heads. I know that sounds like you're just backing down, but really you're not. Take the high road. Don't let their childishness get to you. I hope things get better for you soon. It's hard when people lose friendships over something silly, but it does happen.
