This game has enough RPG elements to be an RPG more than a fighting game. I like it, though, because I generally hate fighting games, since they have so little so offer. This one utilizes the entire field in 3-D, and it has RPG stuff, so I won't be boring myself out within the first hour.

Yes, it will grow in power until it is a 4-winged Ex Core, at which point it will still continue to gather Ex Force. When an Ex Core is finally collected, all the Ex Force that was being drawn to the Ex Core will also be added to the character's Ex Gauge. Hope that helps.

The Ex Core always starts out as a 1-winged bell. However, as it gathers Ex Force, it changes into a 2-winged bell, and finally a 4-winged bell. The position of the Ex Core is determined by your Luck versus the opponent's Luck. If your luck is highly, when it appears, it will be closer to your position.
That's called an Ex Core... Actually, let's talk Ex in general. Your Ex Gauge, when filled, allows you to go Ex Mode. However, to GET to Ex Mode, you must collect what is known as Ex Force, those little lights that appear when you strike your opponent. As you gather them, your gauge will fill. Occasionally, Ex Cores appear, little bells with wings. The number of wings determines their power. 1 Wing will only boost your Ex Gauge a little, 2 wings can fill more than half, and 4 wings will instantly fill the gauge. So, it's important to try and get this item. Note, that while an Ex Core is out, all Ex Force that is knocked out of opponents will be drawn to the Ex Core.
