This is the DS version, right? I remember reading your "what are you currently playing" post where you said that this version was inferior to the GBA version. So it turned out better than you thought? The only one I own is the DS one, so I have no basis for comparison. :/ FF VI is next on your list, yeah? Have fun! I still have to beat FF XIII myself. I beat Barthelandus when you see him in Oerba. I remember people saying how hard he was, but both times I've faced him, he was easy for me. Pretty much just buff your party, attack when you can, and heal when needed. *shrugs* Guess that's pretty much how all the boss battles go though, except for those Eidolon battles... I swear I've had more game overs trying to beat them than anything else in the game.
I'm really close to beating FF IV!!! Yay. I've been able to get through these last few parts; all that is left is the final dungeon. It wasn't so bad either which was good. I plan to beat it most likely tomorrow or Wednesday.
I'm in the same spaceshuttle - screw the boat. I had around 4 hours of sleep then I went to work, but it was a short shift which is why I did not mind staying up so late last night.
Oh, I read that it took you longer on this playthrough...I thought that was a little odd though, but I just went with it. xD Must have been still trying to wake up when I replied to you. My reading comprehension goes waaaay down when I am running on little sleep. I do it to myself though.
What playthrough? Your playthrough? My second playthrough? Because if you are talking about my second playthrough I said it took a little over 4 hourse less than my first playthrough. I was thinking that could have caused some confusion and I was trying to remember if I had put "less" in their to make my though conveyed correctly.
Congrats! I did some CP grinding until like 4 this morning, and I just woke up a little bit ago. Weird how this playthrough took longer... *shrugs* Guess there was some time spent somewhere longer than usual. I dunno. I'm clocking in about 36 hours right now, and I'm in chapter 11 (still in the beginning of it).
Just beat FF XIII right now. Suprisingly it took me a little over 4 hours less time to beat the game than my first playthrough. I thought I was going to be over but apparently not. Mwahahaha.
They're short to begin with, made even shorter by my uberness and use of deceptisols.
Well, good night then. Pleasant dreams and happy gaming in the 'morrow for ya. Chapters 12 and 13 seem relatively short...or maybe it's because you got your party uber-powerful that it's just a breeze for you.
Well I got to the end of Chapter 13, now all I must do is fight the final boss fights; no more "normal" enemies. Just got to walk up to the "next destination" point and bam the final rumble begins. But that will have to wait till tomorrow as I must go to bed now because I have work in the early morning.
Thanks for the Han Solo bit. Right now, I'm blazing through chapter 13 using Deceptisols to aid me so I don't have to fight everything. I'm in the "beat this game now mode" where I rush to the ending.
Hehe.. Got a ways to get there for me. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that Vanille's sudden understanding of chocobo-speak seemed odd... Oh, and I found this for you. Thought it was interesting.
I'm in chapter 13!!!! Yay for me.
Traps are pretty difficult to get and they take a loooooooong time. Unfortunately post game turns into a giant grind against huge tortoises. Hahaha. Yeah, I noticed that my first time playing through. I guess she understands chocobo - somehow. But it is a pretty weak plot device, nonetheless, because they don't even mention in the almighty Datalog. Speaking of humans understanding weird languages, I always wondered how the hell Han Solo knew wookie.
Hehe... Guess it feels good knowing that you can beat the game with little to no effort. I would wish you luck, but I suppose you don't really need it, except for maybe finding some traps. Then again, that would just make everything MORE easy for you. I HAVE A QUESTION THAT REQUIRES YOUR EXPLANATION!!! Okay, so I just got passed all the cinematic junk, and now I'm on my way to look for Hope. My question regards Vanille though... Once the baby Chocobo returns to the group (sans Hope), it looks panicked. When it lands on Vanille's open palms, she suddenly exclaims "His brand!?!" Does Vanille have the ability to talk to chocobos now? That seemed sooo random! Or was that one of those convenient plot devices that lazy storytellers like to use?
