  1. Yeah, it didn't sound all that fun that your boots just aggravated the burns on your ankles, but I'm glad you're starting to feel better. Just wait 'til you start the peeling process... Itchy, itchy, itchy! Aloe is suppose to make you peel less though. How did you get burned in the first place? Besides the obvious answer of being out in the sun too long.

Is your sister moving somewhere? Or was she just needing to get some stuff loaded up? And oh, Pumpkin Scissors! They have that show on Hulu. I read a bit of the description, but haven't seen an episode yet. I think they also offer Kuroshitsuji... If not, then that name seems oddly familiar somehow. *shrugs* Hope you enjoy watching the series! I finished up Nana...which I don't really recommend. 1.) It's probably too girly for you (it was kind of too girly for me too ), and 2.) While the first 20 or so episodes were somewhat interesting, after that, it went waaay downhill. I had to force myself to finish it...and when I did, I was rewarded with a pretty unsatisfying ending. :/
OKAMI!!!!!!!!!! Haha... 'Tis my favorite game, though I have no idea how you would even know something like that. I mean, I keep that a pretty big secret about myself.
  2. Hey Dodie. My sunburns are doing just fine. At first my ankles were flaring because my work boots were rubbing them but eventually they stopped because of the consistency so the pain lost its edge or I got used to it.

Besides work I didn't really do much. I helped my sister move some of her stuff into a U-haul and I watched Cameroon vs. Denmark (World Cup). I also watched the first 7 episodes of Pumpkin Scissors which is a great feat for me. I like anime but I hardly ever watch it but I think I'll try to start watching more. What got me into today's craze was watching Kuroshitsuji with my girlfriend thursday night (we watched about 4 episodes).

Why Pumpkin Scissors? Well my friends and I went to the first meeting of an anime club that started at a local library - which has probably disbanded by now - a couple of years ago and Pumpkin Scissors was one of the shows the aired; I took a liking to the first episode so I chose it to start off.

    Lastly, OKAMI!!! AAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH
  3. Well I'm sunburned on other areas as well: shoulders, back, chest, a little bit on the arms, but the ankles got irritated from my boots. I'll try to stay off going anywhere till the heal. I may get some aloe vera or have my girlfriend bring hers over.
  4. Heck yeah a sunburn is an injury! I hate when that happens... You just managed to burn your ankles though? Never heard of a burn on just that part of the body. I suggest some aloe vera or putting a nice cool, damp cloth on the burn. Hope it gets to healing fast for you.

Haha.. Most likely will be getting the ROM of it.. Shame on me. I haven't been able to go out and grab new games here lately... Last one I actually bought was FF XIII. I'm suppose to go out on a shopping trip soon, so I'll see about getting an actual copy of a DQ game. Glad you recommend some entries for me! If you feel like doing an LP with us, we have a group that you can participate in. You don't have to, but it's there if you feel like it.
  5. Would you count a sunburn as an injury? Cause ankles (inside) got a bit burned and is the most irritated area.

Also, kind of saw Sabin's remark about Dragon Quest V and read a little into the conversation and as a big Dragon Quest fan that is great Dragon Quest entry and RPG in general. It has a very sad and touching story. Would you be playing it on the DS? I don't know about the ROM, though it should be the same, the percentage to get a monster to join you can be very small, pending on the monster, which can be frustrating at times. Also, if you do give DQ V a whirl, on the DS, give DQ IV as shot as well whenever you can because that has a pretty good story as well. And if you like DQ V, there is also DQ IX coming out for the DS in America July 11th and eventually DQ VI will be released - I think very late this year or early next.
  6. Your cat...ate...a GECKO???

    o_O

    O_o

Simba seems like an appropriate name now. Your cat is fierce like a lion, and will obliterate anything that invades it's turf. My cat is lazy. It won't even chase away a moth.
  7. So my cat just ate a gecko that got into the house. I thought it was a worm at first; I mistook the tail for a worm. I tried to save the gecko but my cat was, named Simba, had chewed too much of it.
  8. I was unsure on how Zeromus would attack/act. There is no time limit.
  9. Congrats man! Though I gotta ask. When you say "you had enough time to raise and heal", does that mean you were on a time limit? Or that you thought you weren't going to be able to because you weren't sure of how the turns were going to go?
  10. Just beat FF IV!!!! I thought I wasn't going to make it but then I then I realized I had enough time to raise and heal. Yay for me!

  11. I [Cecil] just left Castle Baron with Kain, so I'm practically at the beginning. I started my game over, because for a while there, I put it down to focus on other gaming endeavors.
  12. Also, where are you in Final Fantasy IV?
  13. I just got lucky but I guess something in my mind said that you had not beaten FF IV yet.

Ooooooohh, that's what you get for not doing those Cie'th missions; if the game didn't have teleport stones I would not have enjoyed Gran Pulse as much - I probably would have loathed the area.

That's because we can't teleport in real life yet; once we can it will become a word.
  14. Thanks for not spoiling anything for me. How did you know that I haven't completed FF IV yet? Must be your intuition about my procrastination.

Nah. I beat Barty, and then went back to that one save point you see before you face him. I really want to get back to the big field on Gran Pulse and do some missions before continuing on, but I don't want to trek back all that way... I neglected to do any of the Mission where the Cie'th stone turns into a Waystone so you can teleport around the various places.

And how about my spellchecker saying that 'teleport' isn't a word?
  15. Yeah it is getting a bit better and the one of the new scenes added in the game reminded me of a popular movie franchise that I will not name as to not possibly spoil anything for you.

The first Barthandelus tricked me because when he would charge for Destructo or Destrudo - whatever it be named - I would defend and heal. That wasted too much time and he placed Doom upon me; I then furiously attacked and that is when I learned to continue attacking while he is charging for that attack so it will lessen the power. But the fight at Oerba was easier. Have you continued the story beyond fighting Barthandelus in Oerba?
