I don't, either. It seems too hard to pull off. How much does it heal for now? Later on when I get an Archangel's Bracelet, I will turn Leon into a physical fighter.
Yeah, well... I don't try any of that special stuff. A simple spell is all there should be. Rena casts Faerie Light pretty quickly, too...
I'm not sure if it works with other enemies' spells or not. It'd be good then. There's also spell reflection. The two spells (I don't know the requirements, since the person who found it doesn't know, either) will bounce off of each other, hitting the side that cast it instead of the opposing side.
Huh... but that'd be annoying to pull off. You'd need split second timing.
I make him run up to the enemies. He has one of the highest HP values for a reason. A pretty solid defense, too. Plus, Concentration sometimes kicks in for me. Have you heard of spell absorption? If say Leon casts Shadow Flare at the same time Rena casts Star Flare, the superior spell (Shadow Flare) will absorb the power of the inferior spell (Star Flare), canceling its casting but dealing more damage.
I got that LONG ago. Not very useful when Leon's sitting backseat to everything, though. But Rena did it without speeding it up at all!
Level 60 is when he gets it. Nobody. Any mage is fast at casting with a level 10 Hasten Speech.
No, but how you described it painted a picture for me, and I was reminded of Erys when she moved around. BTW, who says Rena is a slow caster? She casts Star Flare in like... two seconds!
You've tried it? With the Book of Confusion, the Robe of Ishtar, the Tiara of Isis, and a Mist Insignia, he should have over 1,000 MAG, enough to deal tons of damage with that. Plus, he gets Noah, the fastest high-level spell. ^^
I can really only see that being useful for a mage-type, like Leon, to get away. Fighters have Godspeed, and it MIGHT just teleport them where they need to be. In my eyes, its ideal for getting away. Or... if you're lucky... getting Ravenous Fiend going...
I heard that so many times! And these two: "Well then, let's get it over with. Ugh!" and "Well then, let's get it over with. Did you expect anything else?" You know the size of the battle field, right? One second is enough to make your way to half of it. Even for a mage like Leon, it's way, way, way fast!
"We can handle this.... DAMMIT!" I should try it. If they move as fast as Erys did, I'll be pleased! ^^
Equipment is also great, you know. After you get the Psynard, fly yourself over to Fun City, the blue thing shaped like the Coliseum of Rome. Try to steal from the Bunny in there to get the Bunny Shoes. It's hard to steal, though. I failed three times before getting it. You should move across the battlefield in two seconds with that.
It hardly matters now. The only practical thing left to gain are the Combat abilities. I find Godspeed and Hasten Speech to be among the best. Beyond that, levels are near useless mid to end-game.
