I think I did. But I could have just pieced it together logically. From the way he was looking at my friend, he was unsure whether he was old enough. My friend is a little bit baby faced. But apparently I look old enough, and I was paying, so he made some joke I didn't quite catch (due to volume more than accent) and then said "I believe you, what will it be?" So we ordered two porters.

I went to a play tonight with a friend, and beforehand we went to the bar across the road. I think it was called the Red Dragon, and signs throughout said it was the "only Welsh bar in the southern hemisphere". There were Welsh flags everywhere, all signed by Welsh fans during the Rugny World Cup. It was really cool, but my mate had no idea what the bartender said to us (he was Welsh).
