Nothing wrong with a little tutoring on the matter. =D That's what I do. I look up tutorials about things that I want to do with my work, and see if I can do it myself. I think it would be a lot more productive asking a live person rather than just reading through what I need to do though. Ah well. I actually don't have the problem of having my effects look small after resizing. I guess I don't because all my stuff is done rather large. =P Oh, I know! And you have to pause it at just the right moment, too. I sometimes wish that Youtube vids had a frame-by-frame feature where you can look at each one individually if you chose to. You did? :/ I thought she was really cold. I guess that would be her nature, since she's in the military and all. I wanna have some good banners under my belt before I try. I have some okay ones, but they're mostly Okami-themed, and I wanna have variations with my work when I show it off. Haha! That was pretty much the same for me. I really thought that she came across as a really strong character, even though she didn't have much screentime in the trailers. Odd. Unique. How about we settle for oddly unique? I've been working a bit with abstract, but it's mostly just testing out my new brushes. =P I haven't kept anything I made though. As for C4Ds...I wouldn't know where to begin. They were both good, but I think that I liked My Last Breath a bit more. Yeah, the second one is a little too sad for me, but given the fact that it was made for her deceased sister, I guess it would have to be. Haha! Glad you liked it. I actually couldn't find the actual video to the song, but it was a really good fan-made one. That's actually a really good analogy! But now you have me thinking of a bear and a termite trying to date.... Ew. Snow looks like a cross between Seifer from FF VIII and the Seifer design from KHII, except more grungy looking. I didn't care for either of those designs, so when put together, I don't care for it even more. =P Maqui isn't the fashionable one though! Yuj is! Yeah, because you can get more than one facial expression. Most of the official artworks have everyone pretty much plain-faced and expressionless. Oh, there's exceptions though, but not too many.
Actually, I really am not good at the C4D stuff. xD I need to ask for advice from some of the guys that make them. I honestly have no clue how they can mix those things to have so much flow and smoothness. ._. I used to start with a big size and then resize it, but then I noticed that some designs that are already small in the original are impossible to make out in the resized version. >.< Hahaha, yep, but finding the right cutscenes is hard, too! xD D= I actually liked Jihl! You better find out about Yaag, though. But I really thought he died after that part where Rydgea shot him in Palompolom. I'm sure they'll accept. I think that you might be a tad bit harsh on your own creations. We tend to be our own worse critics after all. I bet what you think "sucks" about your C4D work, other people would think it looks great. You can just size it down though, right? That's what I do to mine. I start with a 500x250 area, and then when I'm done, I size it to where I think it won't be overwhelming, but also to where it stands out. Nice idea about snapping screenshots of youtube videos to get the image you want. Now you aren't stuck with that one image of Maqui. I agree, it would get rather dull using the same image over and over again. Yeah, I thought the secondary characters would have a little more importance that what they do. :/ Like Jihl and Yaag. Jihl barely got screentime before she was killed (but that's okay, because I didn't care for her), and Yaag seems like he's not getting as much as I initially thought he would have. I haven't got further along in the story, so I don't know if he dies or not. I actually thought about joining B.A.U., but that club seems kind of dead, and I don't know if they want to accept new members anyway. I also like her accent. :3 Every time she talks, I'm like, "Your accent is awesome!" xD I haven't given Vanille a proper chance to see if she's any good. Her weapon is...odd. I'll have to check out some more threads to see if I can get some creative inspiration going for myself. My style is rather on the plain side of things. :/ Haha! It was because I was perusing through TFF and there is a member here named Lithium. I remember reading that he liked the song, so he used it as his username, so I listened to it. I would think that in terms of your personal style, that doing rectangular banners would be a step down. I guess there's no harm in learning, yeah? Well, your style is still interesting to see around these parts, who cares what those other people think? Haha... You know, when I first saw his (Maqui) character, I just knew that he would be in some sort of mechanical work. :3 I think it was the goggles that made me think that. Turns out I was right. For some reason, Gadot reminds me of Wakka, but a more tan and buff version of him. He has pretty ridiculous hair too. You know who I kind of like out of team NORA? That Yuj guy. =D He's a little cutie with his blue hair and love of fashion. X3 Too bad none of team NORA really gets a whole lot of screentime. (I really have no idea. Count me lucky that's the only mistake I made? ) My folder that I keep all my work in is called Signatures. =P But yeah, if I'm talking about them, I say Banners. Fang's a good character. I remember saying this some time ago, but I think she's going to replace Fran as my favorite female FF character. I haven't traded him out yet, so team Fang/Hope/Lightning is still going strong! I like that effect. Gives the work a bit more of a dimensional look to it. It is? From the look on his face, he looks like he's about to go through something horrible. Of course, nearly all the characters are facing some tough times in the game. *shrugs* You're going to get me on an Evanescence kick, and I don't usually listen to them, but I had a friend that was obsessed with the band. She even started emulating Amy Lee's style for a while. That song was pretty good, but the video was really the most entertaining. I think I watched it before too, since it seemed really familiar to me.

You're going to turn pro right before our very eyes if you keep this up! Not that you have much farther to go anyway. Yeah, I noticed that they didn't say it either. I was wondering if you were waiting for them to say it. Bokeh, eh? I'll have to keep than term memorized. Oh, yeah. I've been making banners here lately, and it just became second nature to type out banner. I have a feeling that in the future when we get new members, we'll have a lot of them having Fang-inspired avatars. For some reason, people around the forums aren't liking Hope too much. Eh. To each their own. I personally think he's a great Synergist, but I may have to switch him out for Sazh, because Hopes' HP is just too low sometimes. That's really good! Did you use a drop-shadow effect to make the boxed bits pop like that? Aww... Poor Hope.... You can see his face is so expressive with concern. He's too young to have to go through all that he's going through. EDIT:: Oh, and about the band, I've heard of them before. I think the first song I heard was 45. I heard a couple of others too. :3

The Rozalin one looks like you've used a bit of semi-transparent effect here and there. I like it though. Good colors to it, and the way you have the text makes it all the more interesting to look at. I actually like that Maqui one you did better though. Looks very bright, yet has a nice peaceful pastel quality about it too. I like the sort of sparkle-looking things running along the bottom. I also noticed that you went back to your Hope banner, eh? Your Fang avy was a great one, but I'm glad you went back to Hope. When you and DragonHeart post, I would sometimes get you two mixed up a bit.

It finally happened. After so long of watching and waiting, my profile visits have hit quadruple sevens! I even got a screencap for proof! Made me so happy that it brought a tears to my eye.
The cutscenes are amazing indeed, but there is sooo many of them at the start of the game, and most of them are basically showing the destruction going on in Hanging Edge, so I felt like I could skip it. I don't think the items I sold were just one-time only, but I still wanted them back. I guess in retrospect, I could have just waited until the stores started selling them. =O Haha! I use the Airwing for Hope too! I got it leveled pretty high, and I even unlocked a special attribute on it! I can't recall what it is at the moment, but it's the first weapon that I got to do that. I'm still working through the game, but I do like the story so far. Honestly, I think this is the first FF game where I liked a majority of the main playable cast! Yeah, you have to "optimize for .gif" when you want to do animations. I don't think you have to download anything, but I did download both GIMP and GIMPshop at the same time, so maybe you do? It's pretty easy to get the hang of once you learn the set up. I wanna try some more advanced stuff, but I think that I'll wait on the Flash thing. I'm not that patient when it comes to learning new things. Haha! It is! Especially when Hope and Lightning were having that discussion about it before you reach Hope's house in Palumpolum. XD Yeah, he said you were pretty smart too. =D I still need to get around the literature forum and check out his writings. I seem to forget to do that.
