Ahh. Gotcha. I bought my TV in a shop too, but my TV has so many connections that while I waited for the HDMI cable to arrive I just played with the AV cables.
I bought my ps3 and tv in shop, it wasnt really an option to go home and order the cable and wait 3-5 working days for delivery. I was sick and needed it, plus this was a few years ago.
Oh, and uh.. HDMI cables are like $2.14 now. Amazon.com: HDMI Cable 2M (6 Feet): Electronics But I suppose the point still stands, even if it's just a measly 2$.
....Uh huh. Yeah, I suppose it does all add up. You're right with that. And not all games these days suck, dude. Some do, sure.. but not ALL of them. I do not make it a me vs you thing. Or rather, I did not intend it to be that way. I just figure, since my set up is fine the way it is with the tiny cord that was provided, that it's not that big of a deal. But that's just my setup. I understand that you're coming from the general perspective, and that's cool. Oh, by the way... my TV isn't even a Sony brand.
It all adds up, and the more people like you go along with it, the worse it will get, and that's the sad thing =/ I could easily afford the stuff, i just choose not too as im not an idiot. Plus games these days suck and don't warrant any effort to make my gaming experience what it once was Anyway i dont wish to coninute this discussion further, you keep turning it into a me vs you thing, where as im just trying to discuss the greed that is Sony. A tiny bit. Cause it's little bit true isn't it? It's like... oooh, 15$. or... Oooh, 20$. To some people that's barely chump change. So they wouldn't really care. I can see where you're coming from though, as I said like two times already. But honestly at the same time... I just think it's not as big a deal as you're making it out to be. ...To me, anyway.

Maybe what they do is wrong because you're poor? I bet if you had the extra money you wouldn't be caring as much. But like I said before; "Yeah I get your point." Also, my PS3 cord is 58 inches. 2 inches short of 5 feet. Or rather, 1.47 meters. So that's not too bad.
I sit across the other side of the room so my eye balls don't fall out, your thinking from your perspective, I'm speaking from a general perspective, feedback from friends and other PS users and applying logic. What they do is wrong, that's my point
Eh? Recharge the remote? Wire? Uh, my remote uses batteries... OH. PS3 controller. Uh...I sit 1 meter away from my TV... since my computer desk is right next to it.. That, and I can just plug the cord into my USB port too if I wanted. So.. no big deal, there.
It doesnt stop there either, check out the wires for the controller you get to recharge the remote, its like a meter long. Who the hell buys a HD tv to sit one meter from the TV?? Forcing you to go out and purchase the extra long wire that you should have been given with the PS3 in the first place.. another money making scheme from a company that already has too much money
