The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

Fighting the urge to shove the controller through the TV screen.

I am fed up with Xenosaga Episode I. I was literally seconds from finishing the game, and then I died. After that, I have been anywhere near it. I defeated Proto Dora and Shutz, and have made it to the final save point in the game. Now I have to go down this giant Gnosis-infested elevator to reach the path to go across to where the final bosses are located. And now after the fourth try, I can't even get to the bottom of the elevator without dying and getting the Game Over screen.

So, I am taking a break from the game. There's no sense getting this riled up because I am unable to make a group of people save the universe from some monster made of salt. I am not sure what to play in the meantime.

I ordered Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix HD (or whatever it's called) and Pokemon Black 2 today. It will go nicely with my copy of Pokemon White (that I have yet to finish).

Other than being angry at not finishing the game today, it was an okay day. I wish I could have finished it though. I was so close.

Well, that's all from me today. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...

Later!

Michael

Xenosaga Episode 1 turned me off because of the 20 seconds of walking into 20 minutes of cutescenes into 30 seconds of walking into 20 minutes of cutscenes into 20 minutes of cutscenes. I don't even own my Ps2 or games with it anymore so I can't even say I'll finish it one day lol. I did like the Battle System though.

So true! That is the main problem I have with the game. I have more than 50 hours logged in the save file, and I have probably actually played only 20% of that (or at least it feels like 20%). I like the story and everything, but you know it's too long of a cutscene when you can eat a meal and still be stuck in a cutscene when you get back.

That's messed. You buy a game to play it, not to watch it.

When the game has play time like actual battles it's pretty good and time worthy with less cut scenes. But the cut scenes building up to the next mission or event or whatever is like 40 minutes of just walking for 30 seconds to a 5 minute cut scene. The game is really good.
