The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

And surprisingly, no one cares.

I was paid for three tutoring lessons in advance today. Yes, because the person paying me didn't have a $5 bill. But more importantly, it is a sign that there will at least be three more lessons before the school year ends. There's only two more weeks of school remaining, so my time as a tutor is nearing its end for now.

Right now I am drinking a icy Dr. Pepper. I hate this soda (don't kill me), but I am tired of water and Dad and my brother didn't get any soda I like to drink (for everyone's information is Root Beer or Cherry Crush, in case we meet and you offer me something to drink). It's not too bad as long as there's ice in it.

Itsy Bitsy is in heat again. So I have her in a separate room of the house. When she is in my room, the boys are in the living room. Also, I need to remember to get cat food tomorrow while I am out delivering. I am completely out. My brother says to let them go catch mice in the cornfield, but it just isn't the same. That might be okay for Omega, the burly cat he is; but Itsy is still recovering from the delivery, and U is still such a baby (although he is longer than Omega).

U followed me up to the mailbox this morning. He was in a playful mood and thought it would be fun to race me up the hill. He didn't really like it when I told him to stay still and threatened to flick him in the ear if he got any closer to the road. He hates being pointed at. It's as if he always had a finger in his face back before he came to us. When I point at him, he goes crazy and tries to eat me. He goes into full-on evil mode. Hissing, fur raises up, and the claws come out.

I bought a brand new copy of Need for Speed: Most Wanted for PS3 today, and it should arrive by Monday. Two reasons on the purchase. First, it is a game that my brother would play (I still can't get him interested in Final Fantasy games, his loss). Second, that way I can play multiplayer with Ryu-Kentoshii Hirokima. It will be great playing with/against someone I (kinda) know.

I have also been interested in maybe getting Final Fantasy XI. But the thing is, which one should I get. There are so many titles, that I have no clue which one. If anyone has any advice, you are more than welcome to leave a comment or send me a message.

Tomorrow I am delivering papers. If I see my higher-ups, I am going to ask if I have proven that I should be working more. After all, I managed to make these

to their satisfaction in only two office days. I know they were approved because they were already sent to the printers. If they weren't good enough, they wouldn't have been sent to them. These add up to a total of $3,210 in advertising, by the way.

Anyway, I think I deserve more work. It would at least get me more motivated to work on the Facebook page again. I told myself that the page would not be updated again until I received more work. Why should I do all this extra stuff for free, you know?

Well, that's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...

Later!

Michael

    It's true.

Going above and beyond to prove you have the drive and ambition is GREAT, but if nobody takes note... is it worth the stress for your own self-satisfaction?

(I'm a workaholic, so maybe a little - but I always make sure the extra work isn't unnoticed.)

My problem is that I just take so much and let it build up. Then instead of telling my coworkers my frustrations, I write about here. I'm just not the type to say what's bothering me to a supervisor, so I don't look like a whiny complainer. It's the same with the extra work I do. I can't just go and say "Hey, look what I just did without being asked to!" Because then I look like a suck-up.

Things were so much simpler when I just delivered newspapers. But I wouldn't go back to just delivering. I enjoy the extra money too much. My wallet does too!
