The Throne was Still Warm

For some weird reason, my computer was working fine for a whole 30 minutes on Saturday, 19 minutes on Monday, and 35 minutes yesterday. I think that it knows its time on my desk is growing short, and is wanting to prove it is still functional one last time before it is forever stowed underneath my bed or in my closet. It was really REALLY slow, and I only got to play a couple games of Solitaire each time; but it worked.
Anyway...
Grandma came over on Saturday. I was a little surprised to see her, because I was thinking that she'd be bringing me some food next Saturday. I walked over to the car, and before I could say anything she asked, "Guess what?" Well, in my head I thought that either Dad would be coming home or something was wrong with my brother. I told her the former, and then she asked "How did you know?" I told her that it seemed like the logical choice.
So, Dad came home on Tuesday. Grandma told me that he would be back at noon that day, but I guess they had to stop and visit the family. He didn't arrive until 3 pm. Then, he and my uncle took the guns that were still in the house to my uncle's truck. My uncle will be selling them or keeping them, to help get Dad's business (the legitimate mechanic one, not the one that landed him in prison) back on the ground, or until Dad can legally have firearms again.
Then, Dad and I caught up. Not a lot had happened since I saw him that last Thursday, so it was a quick catching up. We watched a couple movies, and ate dinner. That evening, we went out to the garage and played pool. 23 games of it. Dad hadn't played in three years, and I in about 10 months. But you wouldn't be able to tell we hadn't played. In those twenty-three games, Dad won 13 and I won 10. Dad did have a slight bad streak at about game 10. He scratched on the eight ball three times. If he hadn't, it would have been 16-7. Dad specializes in jump shots, and I stay with bank shots. Dad had tons of great moments during play. He nearly cleared the table several times. My high points was a three-ball combination where I sank the one, three, and six balls in three different pockets; and in Game 23 I went on a run and pocketed my final three balls and the eight ball. Dad said that we would have to play again soon.
On Wednesday, Dad and Grandma went to West Union to meet the probation officer. Dad has two years of probation, with the six months being intensive. He also applied for assistance until he gets back on his feet. He was denied. When he got back, we mowed the yard. Some people came over to visit, and I was there watching the entire time (apart from the two minutes where I really had to use the bathroom). We had cheeseburgers for dinner, and watched movies (the first two Terminator films- BORING!!!). When Dad went to go to bed, he said that we didn't play pool that night. I told him that if we play every night then we would get burnt out on it and not play anymore.
As for today, I set the coffee maker for Dad when he gets up (I assume he is awake by now). I left for work at 6:30 am. Some idiot went left of center to scare me into thinking he/she was going to run me down. Then he/she blared their horn and further frightened me. I finished my work at 10 am, and went in to get my check. My check was not where it should have been, so I had to search. Wade wanted me to wait until he got back to find it, but I don't have the patience to wait until 1 pm. I wanted to get going.
My sister sent me a message asking for Dad's whereabouts right as I was parking my bike at the library. I sent her reply saying that I was at the library and didn't know exactly where he was. Anyway, she is not on my nice people list right now. I still haven't gotten the groceries I was supposed to get a couple weeks ago.
Anyway...
My plan for this week is to make a computer payment. I am so glad that Dad is back. I will be able to have more money for myself now. I am still going to help out with the bills, but I love the fact that I am not going to have do it all by myself now.
Well, that's all I have for now. Later!!
