A somewhat big load of news to talk about.

First, I am now just nine days from PS3-day! Maybe less, because today the seller sent me a message saying that he shipped it via FedEx today. I asked Dad how long it should take to arrive, and he said one day. I would be ecstatic if it arrives tomorrow. The only bad thing is that I am working tomorrow, so I won't be here if it arrives. The FedEx truck goes by in the mornings here. If it was sent through UPS, I would be fine because they run in the evenings. But anyway, it is on its way!
Second, I was checking the office Email today, and saw that the menus for After the Game restaurant had been ordered. That's great! In two weeks I will see the finished product of weeks of hard work. I am really excited to see it. And of course I will do my best to show a copy of it here. I could actually do it tomorrow if I wanted. But it would be a computer copy of what I made, not a scan of the actual product. Still, it is being made right now.
Third, I held a live stream on YouNow.com today. I noticed a few YouTube members with YouNow accounts, so I went to see what the hubbub was about. For those that don't know, it is a site where you can have broadcasts of pretty much whatever you want. It is a little similar to those random chat websites, without the high number of male genitalia. I went to the intro section and held a broadcast for nearly ten minutes. It was fun. I didn't want to stay any longer than I did, because I am still new to it. And the after broadcast stats were impressive as well (there I go again with stats). I earned a 72% approval rating from the broadcast. 13 views, 19 votes, and I earned a fan. 12th Place in Total Daily Airtime, 7th in number of Thumbs Up, and it was only my first broadcast. It was really good. I was filming me playing Boonka, and I honestly don't think I will do that again. I am still new at recording on my computer, so I had the window sizes too big, and I couldn't read the comments I was getting, and everything was just happening all at once. But still, with results like that, it makes me think that it wasn't that bad.
The unique thing about the site is that you only get a set amount of time to prove yourself (I think it is 1-2 minutes). It is up to you to get people to give "like" votes to extend your time. To have gotten as much time as I did was amazing! I actually ended the broadcast myself, and didn't get shut down (like so many other people I watched today). I think it was because the amount of viewers was lower due to the time of the day it was. If I had broadcast later in the afternoon, then I think I would have only gotten the original amount of time. The people right now on there are brutal when it comes to entertaining them. When I broadcast, my viewers were easygoing and really nice.
It is definitely something I want to do again in the future.
Fourth, I am holding on to my spot in 14th for Gaming King. The latest analysis shows that I will most likely be in a tie for 14th Place when the contest is over. I have earned 81 votes so far in today's voting (since 3pm Eastern Standard Time). Keep voting everyone! We are so close to the end.
Final update. I was on YouTube today and saw that I received a couple dislikes on a couple of my videos. I am not disturbed by it. Too much. It just sucks that they didn't leave a comment on why they disliked it. After all, how am I to know how to improve my future videos if I don't know why the previous ones earned a dislike. So, I then went and gave all of my videos a thumbs up. I don't know why I didn't do that when I made them in the first place. That is not showing confidence in my own work. I talk up my work at the paper all the time, but yet I didn't even do the same with what I did here at home.
Speaking of which, I posted the first episode of the tiny-series today. The video is in my signature. I hope you like it. And if you don't like it, feel free to tell me why. I would prefer it rather than having to just guess. I only have a limited range when it comes to reading the minds of others, after all.
Well, tomorrow I am working in the office. I have that Misty sold to work on. That is the main job tomorrow. Since it is a full page and with color. Then, I will hopefully be coming home to a box with my PS3 in it. If so, it is possible that you may not see me around as much. That's not true. I will probably be online more, trying to find out how to do things and complete the parts that become difficult for me.
That's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
Michael
