The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

The big news I have, that the people of Facebook know already, is that I finally have a working PS3 console again. My sister came to the house yesterday and took me to the pawn shop to get it. There were two consoles there to choose from. The first was the 150GB I think I've already mentioned in the blog, and it cost $125. The second was the personal PS3 of the store owner himself. A slim model with 250GB (technically it said 232GB), and also cost $150. I debated on which one to get. They both worked well. Then the shop owner gave a bit of backstory on his console. He said that he rarely played it, which is possibly true. He had only 4 games saved on it. It was mainly used for music and movies. In fact, there were several seasons of Sons of Anarchy saved on it, and more than 26 hours of music as well (which is something I didn't discover until I got it home). I chose the bigger of the two. And why not? Both consoles cost the same price, but one has 100GB more space. After that, we went to McDonald's (I had a McChicken), and to the grocery store. Then we came back to the house. My sister and her boyfriend offered to clean the inside of my old console for me, so I went in and disconnected the console from the cords, then took it out to them in the SUV.

And now I am putting all of that space on the hard drive to good use. I started installing the games I have here onto it. There are quite a few updates to all of these games. I have been doing this for nearly 24 hours now, and I am still only up to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. I fell asleep last night at Grand Theft Auto V, so I guess it hasn't been a full 24 hours, but you know what I mean. I am reluctant to actually play any of the games. You see, I didn't transfer my save files to the new console before I gave it to my sister to clean. I told her that I would need it back, to get the save files and to deactivate it from my account. If it works better when it is cleaned, I plan on selling it and trying to get some of the money back that I paid for it.

And now I so happy to be able to play games again. Well, I could still play games, just not the ones I really wanted to play. And I can still compete in the Trophy Hunters League. Unfortunately, I finished the Gold League in last place, and will me demoted to the Silver League. I am actually considering asking to be placed in the Manganese League as somewhat of a punishment for not being as active. It will give someone who truly worked during the last season a chance to be rewarded for their hard work. And it will allow me to truly start from the bottom and work my way up. However, there is a chance I won't be granted that opportunity. There were some problems during this last season with a couple people who wanted to be dropped to lower Leagues. Now it has left people with a bad taste in their mouth when things like that are mentioned.

I still haven't made the official announcement to the other competitors that I am staying in to compete. I want to know a couple of things before I do. First is if I can drop down to the bottom. The second is if I can use my me4lingual account instead of the me3lingual account to earn trophies for the competition. Either way, I will still play in the next season. I just want to know what options I have going into Season 5.

I have had the house to myself since yesterday afternoon. Carma had to take Joey to the doctor yesterday, and she took her overnight bag with her when she left. I don't expect her back until tomorrow morning. And it is raining here. And super windy. I imagine I will have a scared puppy sleeping with me tonight. I've already got a lazy cat taking residence on my bed. My bed could become very crowded if it gets worse here.

Well, my plans for the rest of the day is to finish these game updates. After that, I may play one of them. Or I may take a nap before it rains hard enough that I can't avoid hearing it. Other than that, I can't think of anything. Well, there is the new episode of NCIS tonight. So, I guess that's it for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
