1 Year Blog

Today my blog is 1 year old! Actually, at the time I am typing this it is the day after the birthday (1:43am). But it is still Friday in some parts of America so I am going to count it. This is the 321st blog entry, so that's about 88% of the year full of daily blog entries. Or in other terms, it's 321 pages of rants, ramblings, and general complaints about things.
This time last year I was writing about how Dad was coming home and on how I had been working at the newspaper for six years. I was living alone at the time, and trying to pay all of the bills with my $55 paychecks each week.
Now fast forward to today. I am basically living alone (since Dad doesn't stay here and my brother is rarely here anymore), and I am trying to pay all of the bills with my $65 paychecks each week. So, in other words, I am practically in the same spot I was in last year. To be fair, I was promised a bunch of stuff by Dad before he came home. It was my mistake for believing him. However, at present I am the person who is paying the house payments. So when the house is completely paid for it will be MY house. Not my Dad's, but MINE. That there is something that not a big percentage of people my age can say. Instead of me living with my parents, my parents will be living with me.
And right now, that's one of the things that keeps me going each day. It's that, my pets, and my online life that keeps me as sane as I am. Which to be honest, is not a whole lot. But that's no one's fault. I have never been classified as normal, and that's fine with me.
Moving on...
I literally just spent the last hour going through every entry of this blog to find out the total view count (currently 2:58am). The grand total amount of views is 33,791. That's an average of 105.60 views per entry. Surprising, there is an entry that has 1,213 views. It is the entry from November 29, 2012. I guess the forum's new format and the whole open to the public thing really works. The journals were only accessible to members, so it's no wonder that there are so many more views with this blog compared to my journal which only had 2,442 views in the 16.5 months that it was active.
Anyway, I appreciate everyone coming over and reading this. I wish I had a penny for every time someone visited the blog. If I did, I would get gifts for those that have stuck by me this past year with this blog and for the people who've been here from the very beginning with the journal. That'd be $337.91. That'd be enough for something, right?
So everything within me, I thank you all so much. You have given me so much advice and helped me out when I truly needed it.
And with that, let's move on to another big day topic.
Today (yesterday, it's 3:13am now) was my brother's birthday. However, he was here for about an hour. He spent the night out last night, and spent most of the day out as well. And now he is not here again. People were here looking for him, and people were calling him on the phone. Oh well.
I bought a new cat food bowl for the cat's today while I was in Sinking Spring. It was to replace the one my brother stomped on earlier in the week. I put the amount it cost his tab. I bought the cheapest one they had, but only because it was the only cat-sized one they sold.
I played Xenosaga Episode I today. The full details can be read at my gaming blog. I managed to leave the Woglinde. And when the story switched over to Ziggy, I received my first two Game Overs of the game. And in Osu! today, I climbed up the ladder a little bit more. I also made a friend and fellow osu!mania player. And this evening I won against someone ranked #307 in the world! I was so happy when I saw the final score that a gave a big high-pitched "Woo!". To preserve the moment, I made a screencap of the scoreboard, and even printed out a copy of it.
Well, that's all for this 321st entry of my blog. I am glad you decided to spend some of your time reading this over the last year, and I hope you have as much or even more fun reading the blog for the year(s) to come. And with that...
I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
Michael
PS, as a special treat, here's a video of what I am listening to right now. It is the performance Loreen gave at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. I am choosing this one, because I like it better than the original and the other remixes I have heard over the last year. And plus, it holds more of an impact than the original.
