aka The Poor Person's IcyHot.
Welcome to the obligatory "I hurt my back doing something stupid" entry, where I talk about how I strained my back this time doing something that would normally not hurt anyone's back. What strenuous activity was it that made me feel like I wanted to die this time?
Walking.
Yes, you read it correctly. I was walking from the shed at work to Dad's truck with a bundle of newspapers in my hands, and one of the steps I took apparently didn't go as well as the others and my back was like "Uh, no." And I was wincing the last 20 feet to the truck.
I actually don't think it was the walking that did it. I think it was because I am not used to sitting in the truck for as long as I was. We arrived at the office this morning at 6am, and I was sitting for about four hours doing nothing but folding papers and then throwing them out toward porches. Normally, I am moving a lot more than that, and my body wasn't used to the sudden change.
So now, I am in my "walk slowly and not take big steps" mode. I have already tried sleeping it off, and running hot water over it. And the reason why this entry is being posted so early is because I am planning on sleeping some more.
Other than nursing the dumbest back pain ever, I spent my Christmas bonus on cat food and a 2014 calendar, did some level grinding in Star Ocean: First Departure, and tallying votes for the TFF Awards (Keep them coming!). I also brought in firewood this evening, which made me feel like my body was going to be ripped in half. But if I didn't do it, I wouldn't have had a fire, and I don't want to be cold in the house.
Anyway, I am off to sleep. I may be up later to post my gaming blog entry, but I should actually do some more gaming before that happens. Well, that's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then.
Later! And don't forget to send in your votes!
