I lost, but I still won in a way.

Great news! I called the company I am getting my computer from, and their machine operator stated that I owe them $0! I then checked on the status of the shipment, and the machine operator stated that it hasn't been shipped out yet. But still, I owe them nothing! And it is official!
This morning Dad, my brother, and I went to town to spend my money. First, I gave Dad my half of the water bill, then I bought cell phone minutes at the store. I also bought two pairs of shoes. I now have a pair of house slippers, so I don't ruin my socks by walking around the house in them. And the other pair of shoes is to replace the pair of tennis shoes I've had for seven years. Dad said that I am not to wear my old shoes anymore, because he will take them away from me if he sees me in them. I did wear them today though. It rained all day, and I didn't want to get my new shoes wet. I won't be wearing the shoes much for a while, as it's getting closer to winter. But they'll be perfect for this spring.
And what's nice is the fact that I still have nearly $50 in wallet. So, working in the office is proving to be the best decision I've made in a while.
The three of us played Rummy this evening. I was thrown off my groove today, because I was having to read both Dad and my brother. In the beginning hands, my brother had all the luck because he was getting reintroduced to the game. Then when he was 55 points from winning, I kicked in to Overdrive and channeled everything I had in the cards. I got the groove back and managed to make my brother lose points in two of the last three hands. But I still had to worry about Dad, because he was still earning points. When the last hand started, Dad had 460 points, my brother 395, and me 405. I managed to get most of the cards I needed quite early in the hand. But going out was my problem. I could not get rid of my last card, and Dad and my brother started earning points. I got lucky and managed to play off my brother, leaving me to discard my final card. The final score was...
Dad - 535
Michael - 525
D - 465
So, Dad and I both got to 500 in the same hand. But Dad had 10 more points than I did.
I started making a Facebook page for the paper. I figured it would be good for business. When I get it more complete, I will post a link to it. But for now, it still in the early phase of production. We already have a profile for the paper, but I think it's main purpose was so Wade could add it to his Farmville farm at the time. It was just a regular profile like what a person makes for themself. With the one I'm making, it will be more professional and be another to get the paper out there for our readers.
Well, that's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
Michael
