The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

There's just something nice about wearing new socks...

Despite yesterday being a really great day, I was so tired that I fell asleep before writing last night. Anyway, let's begin.

The alarm clock woke me up Thursday morning. I only had less than two hours of sleep before I woke up. I think I should limit myself on how many episodes of Running Man I should watch before bed. When I woke up, I slipped on my sandals and fed the animals. As I was going to feed Stri-P-Grr and lowercase, I tripped over myself and spilled the cat food and had to get more. But it wasn't that bad. The stray dog that hangs around here was so focused on eating the cat food that I managed to leave for work without being followed. I arrived at the office in 50 minutes and considering the extra distance I do in getting there, it was a record time for me.

The route itself was nice. The time I saved by not separating everything allowed me to be finished with my work before 8am. I went and talked with my Mom and brother. I gave him the power of attorney form I printed, and set Mom's new phone up. She has a new phone number, because Dad has her old one. And Mom stood nearby when I went to the person who owes me money's house. I was finally paid, and given $5 extra for having to wait so long. As I was heading to the bank to deposit my money, I saw my sister. She and I talked while her boyfriend was in the store. She told me things that confirmed Mom's stories of her. Just more Dad ditching his family talk, the usual. I told her that he cut us out of his life, and that she needs to do the same to him. There's no sense in her getting hurt over and over again trying to regain his love, because he has none for us. He turned his back on her when he said that he can't remember anything about her childhood. It's best that she just move on and make a better life for her, that way he will see the mistakes he made. And then it will be too late for him to correct them.

I deposited the money, but kept $20 with me. On the way home, I stopped at the Dairy Bar to drop off papers. And since I had the money, I went and ordered myself some lunch. And then I was told that the milkshake I ordered wouldn't cost me anything. They said that they had been trying to catch me so they can give me something for free, and they finally got that chance. I think I mentioned the last time they asked, but I denied it. I thought they were just asking because they thought I was a customer. But no, it was because they had seen me deliver week after week, and wanted to give me something.

When I got back home, I fell asleep almost instantly. At 3pm, I woke up. The electric was off, though. When it came back on I started working on the Wi-Fi signal. Nothing seemed to work, so I connected my laptop to the router and used a direct connection to chat with the router company. They couldn't help, because the warranty on the router had expired; but they would help if I paid nearly $50. After getting off the chat, I did everything I knew to do one more time and resigned myself to being without Internet for the night. And then it started working. So, I started watching more Running Man.

This morning I woke up and rode to Sinking Spring. The dog followed me again. I bought socks and underwear at the store, and discovered that it was on sale. So I saved money! I could have bought those Peanut Butter and Chocolate Pop Tarts I saw after all. And now I am here typing this, wearing some of my purchases. Today I think I will play Nier and try to get all of the weapons. I also have to go and start a new save file, because I missed the chance to earn the trophy for killing 100 sheep. I will do that, earn the trophy, and delete the file. One thing I know is that this game is really bloody. It makes sense to have a switch in the options menu to turn the blood on or off. Oh, I have nearly finished the DLC as well. I was so close to getting it all done, but then died in the last room. I do have the DLC weapons and outfits. I like Kainé in the Kabuki outfit, and Emil in the Samurai outift. I don't like how the magic orbs becomes Emil's face, though. And Nier looks best in the original outfit, but his hair looks best in Samurai. In Samurai, it looks like Snake's hair in Metal Gear Solid. I wish I could mix and match the outfits to how I want them.

Well, that's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...

Later!

Michael
