The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

Today's weather started as nice as it was yesterday, but by 9am it was so different. Rain was pouring, the wind was blowing, and I of course was out in it. I had to go check the mail and do the deposit. After that, I stayed in as much as possible.

Gabby came in and was selling up a storm. She sold so much that the paper is nearly done. As for her check, she will be getting more than $150. She sold so much today that she won't be coming in tomorrow. There is still about a page left to fill, so Misty will be selling tomorrow. I still need to write an article for our Holiday Gift Guide. It's a challenge, because I have already written one on Gift Cards, and another on Cheap Gifts. I have to write something that would appeal to our readers, which is mostly elderly people.

Also, I still haven't gotten the OK from the person for the full page ad I did. I sent the message with the ad twice. I have no idea what we'll do if we don't get approval in time. We can't print an eleven page paper. That's just weird. And a waste of money.

I didn't do much after I got home. I did play some pool in the garage with Dad and my brother. Things are still on edge with Dad, but I think I like it that way. Basically, he knows that I won't back down from what I know to be true and right, something I wasn't able to do before he went to prison. And by me riding to work, I am proving that I don't need him. So, it just puts me one peg above him.

I dread checking tomorrow's weather. I don't want to see if it's going to rain all day tomorrow.

I have an episode of Chinese Hole in the Wall loading up on YouTube. But I don't think I will be able to watch it. I am just so tired. It's all this rain. It drains my energy.
