Continuing with the whole Slender theme, I tried playing it again today. I could only get one page. I started out going the same way I always go, because it is normal, safe (ha!!). But either the game randomizes the landmarks along with the pages locations or I took a wrong turn somewhere. Instead of going to the scary bathroom, I found the creepy rocks. After I picked up the page, I scared myself out of playing anymore.
Today's strategy was to have my brother along with me while I played. I wanted him to serve as a support. But he didn't do a good enough job, because as stated before, I quit...again.
Then just a little while ago, my brother asks to play. I jumped at the chance to watch someone else play it. It is nowhere near as scary as when I play it myself. So he played. In his first attempt, he found a red brick pillar in the woods and a page. Then he walked into a couple trees close together, and couldn't get away. When he finally turned around, SlenderMan was there. In his second attempt, he reached the oil tanks and one page. Then my brother checked his cell phone. When he started back up, he walked right in the path of SlenderMan. And his third attempt was the scariest for me. I didn't know that if you constantly run, the character will start breathing hard. I thought it was the breath of SlenderMan. My brother was getting bored of playing, because the character moved too slow (hence running all the time). He met SlenderMan again by the creepy bathroom-like room. I admit to backseat gaming. I told him all the strategies I researched on the Internet (not looking at SlenderMan, running away if he's close, etc.) but the tips didn't have enough time to take effect. SlenderMan got him all three times, and my brother's goal was to get at least two pages. So, I have collected more pages, but my brother has played longer than I have. And my brother is also the only one who has gotten caught my SlenderMan.
I also played a puzzle game I installed from my discs called Boonka. I also call it the Anti-Slender game. I play it after Slender too make me able to forget all the scary thoughts. Basically, it is your job to save the planet from the Scours by using Boonkas (creatures that resemble animals and veggies) to defeat them. You have to line up similar Boonkas and send them to the sky using bottled fairies.
Work today was great, as always. I arrived at 9am, and worked non-stop until I closed up at 3pm. I worked while eating lunch as well. I worked so hard today that I nearly have the paper finished already. I have two more ads to make (a Classified ad, and a 1/16th ad). Then I either have to get a sales rep to sell the last available spot or write an article that will fit. Then I can send the paper to the press and begin on next week's paper, or work more on the menu.
Another thing I worked on today was the new Facebook page for my Dad and brother's automotive mechanic business. It was pretty simple, because my brother wasn't up to taking pictures and wasn't too descriptive on the wordy stuff. But it must not need it, because it already has 23 likes. The Messenger page has been up for a month, and it only has 29. Oh well.
*Update: The Garage's page now has 24 likes. It earned another while typing the last paragraph.
Well, I am pretty tired, so I will head to bed. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
