It was too hot in the house to do any of the rearranging I wanted to do in my room. But I did clean a little bit. A little.
The day was mainly spent monitoring my progress in the final moments of the Gaming King election. The final result was that I finished in 7th Place with 3,540 votes. It is my best result ever. I received more than double the amount of votes I received in my previous best result.
I also monitored the voting for the semi-final round of the GFX tournament I am in. Right now, there have been six votes cast in my match; with me receiving two of them. I think my opponent held back for this round, because his entry was nothing like his first round entry. It's possible that he thought it wouldn't take much to win against me, or maybe he just threw something together and didn't get to put everything he knows into the picture.
But, I am doing better than the person losing the other semi-final match. That match also has six votes cast, but the person losing right now only has one vote.
I started yet another new game of Skyrim today. I set up the PS3 on the big television in my room and I couldn't decide what to play, so I figured why not play a game where I can slay dragons. I did actually start the day playing Sly 2; but I didn't really like playing it after an hour, so I switched.
One thing I learned about Skyrim is that if you cast a Fire spell at the rainbow colored floors in the caves, they will ignite and damage anything that just happens to be on it at the time. I figured it was oil on the floor to make such a colorful spot on the floor, but I didn't think that it would be an active mechanic of the game. I thought it was just for looks. Imagine how my character thought when he caught himself on fire because he was standing on the oil at the time. My favorite part about it is that it leaves scorch marks where the spell made contact with the oil.
I don't have much to type about tonight, so here's a music video that I found entertaining today.
On that note, that's all for this entry. I am off to do some more dungeon crawling. I hope to see you around the forums when I reemerge into the light. Until then though...
Later!
Michael (which is also the name of my Skyrim character; so creative, I know)
