Nice and Cozy by the Fire.

I am sitting near the fire as I type this. U is asleep on the couch in front of me. The wind is blowing very hard against the house, but the fire is roaring so I can barely hear wind. That's been my day pretty much. Just staying in, staying warm. The only times I went outside were to feed the animals and bring in firewood. I told my brother that I was worried about the animals tonight, but he said that they would be fine. Luca has access to warmth from the garage, because of the fire in the wood stove in there. And the cats (minus U, because he's a spoiled feline) are able to get to warmth as well.
Before my brother went to bed, I gave him the rest of my money. I need him to pick up some dog food and a bale of hay tomorrow for Luca's house. We still have some, but I am thinking long term. And now I am left with $1 in change, while my brother has money from all over the world in his room. The person he was working for gave him the some of the contents of her safe, and what he came home with was money from the Philippines and some nearly 100 year old American money. He had me look up what the notes and coins were worth. One coin in particular is worth nearly $100, provided it's in as good condition as the ones I saw.
Anyway...
I mainly played Grand Theft Auto III today. I spent a long time finding the Hidden Packages on the first island. I will admit, I used a map that had the locations marked on it. I even printed out the map. And for the especially hard to reach ones, I watched a YouTube video on how to get to them. Yes, I know, I'm a bad gamer. But as long as complete the story, what does it matter on my methods of getting the extra things. At least I'm not using cheat codes to give me the best weapons or change my wanted level. I mean, I have to draw the line somewhere.
Mom comes home in two weeks. As excited as I am to have her back home, I am not really doing anything to prepare for it. Before Dad came home, I cleaned the house really well and made sure everything looked nice. I haven't done that for Mom's arrival. I think it's partly because the weather isn't good enough to hang up laundry outside, and partly because I saw what good it did when Dad came home. As much as I hope that Mom doesn't turn out like Dad, I am afraid that I will be lied to again. Part of me doesn't want to waste the time getting everything perfect, because of the chance that it won't matter. Oh well.
My plans for tomorrow are to stay warm. I will do my outside chores as usual, but nothing more. I don't want to be out in that cold of temperatures if can help it. Anyway, that's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
