The Weather's Gift

It snowed all day today. I woke up and saw that the deck was covered in snow. However, it was only a wet snow and the snow on the porch would simply melt as soon as it touched. But the porch ended up losing that fight, and the snow took over and now covers the entire thing. Not only that, but it is really stacking against the front of the house. When you step onto the front porch, you are stepping into six inches of snow (at least) because the wind is blowing it against the house. But as you continue walking out, it's like there's nothing on the ground.
My brother came home from work early, most likely because of the temperature and snow. He helped me bring in firewood today, because the stack in the house was running low. I asked him if he would be able to take me to town tomorrow morning so I don't have to ride to town. Since he won't be leaving until 5pm for Cincinnati, he said he would. And arrangements have already been made on my paycheck as well. So now I won't have to wait for anyone to come to the office for me to get the check.
The only thing I have to do tomorrow is not freeze to death. But I should consider myself lucky. At least I am not delivering on Monday or Tuesday when it will be below 0 outside. I really hate winter. But it will still be cold tomorrow, and the snow will make delivering difficult. On top of all that, I don't even want to be out there tomorrow.
I want to stay at home and bake a cake. Then decorate it. I want to sit wrapped in a blanket and play video games all day. But all of that will have to wait until I get home. I will be fine. It isn't the first time I have delivered in cold weather, and it won't be the last. It only seems really bad because of tomorrow.
Today I played Double Dunk, which is one of the games on Atari Anthology. I played three games of basketball. I stopped playing when I won a game. The first game I lost 10-2. The second game I lost 3-11. And the third game I won 10-9. It was an alright game. It was chosen through random draw.
Since I finished that game, I marked it off the list. Then I ran the program again, and Rugrats: Search for Reptar was chosen. I was fine with that choice, because it is generally a quick game to finish. I got all 15 puzzle pieces and won the game.
Then the next game the RNG chose was Katamari Damacy. The RNG has being really nice to me this year. But I must be completely honest. It is only random to a point. You see, I have two video game lists. The first is every single game (minus PC and PS3 downloads) I have access to playing. The second is every title I own. This second list is shorter, because it doesn't go into the specifics of the compilation games. Instead of listing all 85 games in Atari Anthology, it only has the one title entry. I run the program for both lists. That's where the randomness stops. I take the randomly chosen games from both lists and choose which one I would rather play. The ones I chose to not play all seemed boring to me. I don't like older racing games, so IHRA Drag Racing and Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012 doesn't appeal to me. Basically, it gives me a choice and makes it easier to choose rather than having to choose from over 300 games to play.
I learned how to type in Chinese on the desktop computer today. I was trying to translate some Japanese for an article I wrote on the teaser site for Destiny VIII, and found instructions on how to type in Japanese. And I managed how to do it for Chinese. I am on the laptop (which is Windows XP) as I type this, so I can't show you. I will try and figure it out real quick. One moment...
I checked, but it doesn't have neither Chinese or Japanese on file. That's too bad. Anyway, it's really neat. And it saves me time and makes not have to take so many steps. Before I would have to use the mouse and write what I want to say using a website called nciku.com, and then choose the character I want. Now I can just type it out.
Well, that's all for now. I have to be up in about eight hours, and I want as much sleep as I can get before having to spend six hours out in the cold. I already have my outfit planned in my head. I think instead of changing my clothes, I will just put more on. Add another pair socks, pants over my shorts, and then another shirt over the one I'm wearing. Anyway, I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!!!
