That new textbook smell...

I have received everything I ordered recently. The book from TalkToMeInKorean.com arrived. The Japanese textbooks and the workbook arrived as well. And the printer ink. And the laptop batteries. I stayed up late working on the introductory lessons in both languages, seeing which would be more fun to learn. And they're both equally fun. The textbooks make learning Japanese more structured, whereas the Korean materials make it more informal. It's a good thing having them be different learning styles, because then I wouldn't get bored. Anyway, the books are currently sitting in a nice pile on the table beside my bed.
Joey came home sick yesterday afternoon. Carma stayed home from work last night, and Joey didn't go to school this morning. He says he still sick, but he is running around the house, and being rough with Jackson. The way I see it, if he has this much energy, then he is able to go to school. Most likely, he was sick last night, but just didn't want to go to school today. And why not? He is given whatever he wants, and is babied with everything. I think the only thing that's wrong with him is that he is not growing up in a social or emotional manner. He is seven years old, and still sucks his thumb. And he chooses to sleep with Carma in her bed rather than his own.
Moving on...
I tried repeatedly to get Final Fantasy XIII-2 to work. But it didn't. So last night I started going through the games I have to see which ones the PS3 would play. So far, I found three. Final Fantasy XIII, Fallout: New Vegas, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted. I really wanted to read more, so I didn't go through the whole collection. Anyway, I will hopefully soon not have to worry about that. I found a bike I want to buy with the money I am getting. It is cheaper than the ones I usually buy, which means I can use the extra money to help pay for a new PS3. So, yay...!
Now, about this new bike. I decided to not get another Huffy, but I'm still going to stay with the cruiser class of bikes. There is pretty slick looking dark blue Schwinn I want. It doesn't come with a front basket or beverage holder, but I don't really need them since I have two perfectly good baskets and beverage holders. I can just put them on the new bike. Plus, it's blue. I haven't had a blue bike in years. And since it's a Schwinn, it will have a lifetime warranty. I like the thought of having it replaced, even if it's a few years down the road.
Well, this evening I am doing laundry. And I also need to finish mowing the yard. I may hold that off until tomorrow, because it rained today. I would have finished yesterday, but Joey came home from school. I went in to see if he had any homework, because Carma asked me to earlier in the day. And when I didn't have to help him, I decided that it was time to call it a day anyway.
Well, that's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
Michael
