The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

As stated in The 2013 TFF Awards RESULTS Thread, I will be posting the numerical figures to give Rowan and I full transparency. As you know, we had the voting round ballots sent to us in private. This was so members would not be as easily influence by other voters. I know after seeing how the Awards were done last year, that people would often change their votes after other members voted to sway the results in some way. With them being sent privately, it allowed for no editing. If nominees or other members wanted to encourage others to vote a certain way, they would have to do that by campaigning.

Yes, there was a decline in the number of people voting. It could be because of the number of active members on TFF now, it could be that they chose not to vote because it was through PM this year. Regardless, I think sending votes through PM is more fair.

So, that's that. It was really fun helping out with the Awards, and I hope that next year it is even more fun! Now, on with my day.

My brother came home this evening and asked if I had opened my present from Dad. I said no, and that I wasn't going to. He told me that I should. I said, "Why? I know what it is, and I don't need it." Then I told him what it was, and he confirmed it. At the end of that, I said that I would open it when Dad comes back home for good. Anyway, I think Dad was wondering about it. Why else would my brother ask?

I made cheesy hashbrowns for lunch today. I followed the directions exactly, and they turned out weird. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like slimy potatoes shredded up. It was like shredded scalloped potatoes. Anyway, I put some potato chips in the bowl to give it some crunch, and then it tasted fine.

This evening for dinner, I had chili with cheese on top.

I really wish I had been able to deliver today. It felt weird being home on a Thursday. And not only that, but it makes everyone else think it's the wrong day of the week. My brother spent the day thinking today was Wednesday. But now, he may think tomorrow is Thursday because of me working tomorrow.

Anyway...

Tomorrow I will be working. And then when I get my check, I will deposit it and my Christmas money at the bank. Which means that the water bill will be paid. Yay! For having water, and being broke! And it now makes my brother owe me nearly $125. I also received the next phone bill, so that's fun. And my brother has yet to be paid for his job, which makes everything that much more exciting. And as much as I hate having to rely on my brother to help with things financially here, I have no choice because I don't make enough to pay for everything myself right now.

Oh well. Things will get better.
