The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

Go cut firewood for your other family for all I care!

I was feeding the animals this morning when Dad showed up. He asked me if I would be working on the computer today, and I said that I would because I work every day. He wanted me to help him cut firewood. I told him that I first had to wash the dishes and then I'd be working after that.

So I washed the dishes and then started working. A bit later Dad comes in the house and tries to guilt me into helping him. He said that he was cutting firewood so my brother and I have heat, and that I should help him because of that. And I told him that I was working and earning money so that my brother and I have a place to live. I also said that no one was forcing him to. What I didn't say was that the only reason he was cutting firewood was because he felt obligated to do it.

And really what is more important: not being cold in the winter, or having a home so you aren't out in the cold in the winter? I did not ask Dad to take time out of his busy schedule to come and cut firewood. I know how to cut firewood, I did it when I was living here by myself. But to say that he was doing it for us is just crazy. He was doing it because he wanted to feel better about himself, like it will make him look like a good father. If he wanted to win points in the good father games, he should at least live at the place he's cutting firewood at.

Anyway, I will probably get my ear talked off by Grandma tomorrow. Dad probably told her fed her some story about me, making me look like a bad person. And I don't care. I know the truth, and that's all that matters.

In other news, I saw a copy of Fallout: New Vegas for only $12 today. I was checking up on the locations of my PSP and the games I'm getting, and then I remembered seeing Unknown Entity playing New Vegas recently. I like Fallout 3, so I figured I'd go and see how much a copy is. When it was only $12, I went ahead and bought it. And after seeing how much a brand new copy is on Amazon, I realize that I got a great deal. The listing of the one I ordered said it was brand new.

As for the location of my new games and stuff, there's a chance that it all may be here tomorrow morning. So, I fully expect the games to show up tomorrow, and the PSP to arrive on Monday.

Well, it is raining right now, and I will be leaving for work in a few hours. The weather forecast is saying that it will stop raining at 3am, but I fully expect it to rain all the way until I finish working. I don't mind if it rains during the route, because I do have plastic bags now. However, I will mind if it rains only while I am go to or from work. That's just not fair at all.

And with that, we have come to the end of this entry. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...

Later!

Michael

What are you looking forward to the most on PSP?

Honestly, I went into this purchase (of the PSP) pretty much blind. I know that I wanted to one day play Crisis Core and learn what happened before Final Fantasy VII. And after having watched some gameplay of Dissidia on YouTube, I wanted to play this game because it brings a lot of my favorite characters together in one game.

I have always thought that the Nintendo handhelds were more geared for younger players, whereas the PSP was more designed for older gamers. So to be able to play the "grownup handheld" is probably what I am looking forward to the most.
