The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

I was left to work my magic all on my own today. Misty and Iris left to go somewhere today, and they didn't return until after 2pm. And then Gabby left early to take her son to the doctor, because he has been having a lot of yucky things happen to him lately. And Jen left a few times as well. I don't think she will be working here much longer, because she has taken a second job. One that isn't dependent on sales, with regular hours and all that fancy stuff like health coverage and uniform fees.

But yeah, I was in my little cave all day today. I have no clue how to set up this week's special section, so all day I just made ads. I am just over half finished with the stack of ads. Tomorrow I will be in a rush to get the last 15 ads finished. All of the things are ready for making them, so it shouldn't take long. I mainly just have to resize the ads to fit the sizes that they were sold as. I got lucky with a couple ads during resizing. A quarter-page ad and a 1/16th-page are interchangeable, as are a 1/2-page ad and a 1/8th-page ad. But the others were not so easy. Because then I had to change font sizes, and images sizes, and it was not very fun.

All in all, I definitely earned the money I will be getting. I guess being a non-smoking guy is beneficial for working at my office. I don't have to go outside for a smoking break, and using the restroom never takes too long. And yes, I always remember to put the seat back down. There's no way I am going to give four women a reason to gripe at me. And I am so predictable when it comes to lunch that no one has to ask me what I want from somewhere.

All anyone has to say is, "I am ordering from (insert food establishment here), are you hungry?" I then say yes, and give whoever it is my money. I almost always have exact change, so there's rarely any hassle with keeping track of individual monies.

Grandma's neighbor gave me ride to his house today. Then I walked over to Grandma's. There we talked about the latest happenings. And since my brother was right down the hill from Grandma's, he took me home.

I tutored Joey today. Today, we worked on identifying household things by their words. I gave him some pieces of paper with words on them, and I had him find what the words were. Twenty-one words took the full hour. Granted, they aren't words he isn't used to seeing written down.

After that, it was almost to late to do anything else. I managed an hour of gaming before I started typing this. I will be going back to playing after this is done. That way I may a little more to write about in the gaming blog.

So, tomorrow will be a day full of activity as far as work is concerned. But at least my work week will be nearly over after tomorrow. I am hoping to get finished in time to not have to stay late. I really want to get home as early as possible.
