It's for the dogs...

Today was Take a Stray Dog to Work Day for me. The stray dog that managed to keep up with me last Friday ran with me today as well. The ten miles to Peebles, the 25-mile paper route, and the 10 miles back home. I felt bad for him, because he was limping from running so much. I carried him in my arms some on the way back. But he is a heavy dog for being so small, and so I couldn't hold him for very long at a time.
The route itself was okay. The inserts were oddly shaped, and hey made putting the papers together difficult. I was finished with everything at 11am. I stopped and talked with Mom, and gave her the money she was needing. She said that she was moving on, because she didn't want to overstay her welcome at her cousin's. She had me take a bag of clothes to the storage unit.
This evening, my brother and Mom came by and helped me get Luca here. Mom stayed at Carma's while my brother and I went to get everything. I took the leash, her dog tags, and her papers with us. I just wanted to be extra careful, just in case. But we didn't run into any trouble. We got everything loaded up quickly. Her doghouse, the bale of hay, and Luca's food and water bowls. Then, Luca and I climbed into the back of my brother's truck, and we went to Luca's new home. When we got back to Carma's I handed Luca over to Mom and helped my brother unload everything. After that, Mom and I talked and got Luca settled in, while my brother went and got a bumper for his truck.
After a while, my brother came back and picked Mom up. And now I am here typing this to you. I was planning on making this post in the morning, because I am very tired. However, Jackson has been barking, and Luca has been howling. And it all makes me unable to sleep. So I figured I would go ahead and type this up now. Tomorrow I am delivering in Sinking Spring. After that, I don't know. I sure hope Nier arrives tomorrow. Well, that's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
Michael
