If it's not one thing...

Well, I broke the Nel Lusso bike in a way that it might not be able to be fixed. I was almost finished with my route today, maybe 25 houses left to deliver. I was pedaling up this small hill. I reach the top, and I hear a snap. My left foot hits the ground, as if it slips off the pedal. I looked down and saw that I didn't slip off the pedal, but rather the pedal came off the bike altogether. It is broken right at the frame of the bike.
So, I half walk, and half half-pedal the rest of my route. Then I ride down the hill toward the center of town. I remember seeing my brother's truck in town not long before the pedal broke, so I go over to where I saw it thinking that I may get him to take the bike home. It saves me from having to push it home. When I got to where the truck was, I couldn't find my brother at all. So, I took the one piece of non-newspaper paper I had and wrote him a note to take my bike home and the extent of the damage on the bike. Then, I started walking to the library. On my way there, I called Grandma and asked her if she would come and pick me up.
When Grandma got to the library, I told her what had happened. Then we talked about everything we probably would have talked about if I had stopped in at her house. I guess the police were down the hill from Grandma's for some reason the other day, and no one knew what was going on. She drove me all the way home, and as we were pulling in the driveway, she remembered that the water bill is still at her house. Which is unfortunate because it is due tomorrow. I told Grandma that I would have my brother stop by tomorrow to get it.
As I was changing out of my clothes, I discover why my leg had been hurting. It had been in pain ever since the pedal broke off. It turns out that I cut my leg on the jagged piece of the pedal when I brought my foot to the ground. I am glad I was wearing pants, or it would have been much worse. After checking the mail and stoking the fire, I turned on Grand Theft Auto III and started doing missions for the person on the phone in Shoreside Vale.
When my brother came home, we talked about my bike. I told him that I was going to find the warranty information; because my bike is protected for two years, and I haven't had it even one year yet. After about ten minutes of searching through my desk, I found it. I read the four pages of text, and saw that I can file a claim online. I told my brother to not work on the bike until I do everything I can. I am really glad I went ahead and spent the $15 for the extended warranty. I may be getting a replacement bike. I am also glad that I have a substitute bike to ride, and that my messenger bag is fixed. So, I am not without means of doing my job.
Anyway...
The route itself was fine, up to the point of the pedal breaking. However, I didn't get a chance to mention how crappy the paper looked. I was just too busy delivering. Oh well. It's not really my problem. I am not the ones paying for the ads, so I guess it's not my job to complain about it. I'll still complain, though.
Anyway, that's all for now. Today I posted the first Review Thursday entry in my new gaming blog. I reviewed Spyro the Dragon. I didn't know it was on PSN until I researched it. Well, I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
