The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

I woke up 30 minutes before my alarm was set to go off. In that time, I got ready to leave for work, and ended up leaving the house when I should have been waking up. Work today was pleasant. There was hardly any traffic. The weather, though a little cooler than I would have liked, was nice. I was finished with my route at 9:04am.

That's where the niceness ended.

No one arrived to unlock the office so I could get my check. I sent messages, and was told that someone would be there at 10am. And so, I waited. And waited. Then my brother and Dad pull in the parking lot. I told them the situation and decided that I'd just get the checks next week.

Iris replied saying that there would be one of the festival tabs in next weeks paper. And as a bonus, I would be getting $20 more on my check. I'm fine with that. That has only happened once before, when we had a 64-page paper a few years ago for Fair. But it wasn't $20. It was an extra $1 per 100 papers we delivered. I think I was given $5.50 extra that week.

Oh well, it doesn't matter.

I have been so sleepy ever since I got home. I tried napping, but I was still tired. I should be fine once I go to bed after I post this.

I have to deliver in Sinking Spring tomorrow. And the new EYK live chat starts at 9am tomorrow, so I want to be back home before it starts. Then I have the rest of the day to play or sleep or whatever. Dad might show up to mow the yard tomorrow as well. It is the only thing he does for his family anymore.

I am now at 35% complete with Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. I hope to be finished with it by Monday.
