I should be typing up an article, but I want to type this instead.

The owner has me typing up an article for the "Business of the Week" section she is trying to get started. Like most of her other ideas, this one sucks. Why, because it does not earn money for the paper. Basically, she is asking businesses to write an article that we will publish for free with a picture. And yet, she's complaining that the sales staff don't sell enough to pay the bills. This article is four written pages. Oh well. I need fill space this week anyway.
Yeah, fill space. I am having to take what is basically a three-page paper and turning it into eight pages. But as long as that stupid article gets in there, then everything will be fine.
In other work news, I sent the menu off to the client for proofing. Once we get the okay, it will be printed. Basically, my job is done. I now get to work on the Easter brochure thing. It is selling well so far. Today was the first day that the sales staff were selling for it, so only time will tell.
Also, I was paid to babysit today at work. The owner called saying she wouldn't be in until after 4pm, and since she doesn't fully trust Tyler (one of the new sales people), she had me stay after closing to watch the place and make sure he doesn't steal anything. Of course, he wasn't told any of this. Not that I mind much, I get paid by the hour, so she can take as much time as she wants to arrive at the office.
Moving on...
I am currently 27th in King of the Web - Gaming King. I am so close to my goal. And as long as a few certain people in front of me don't receive any votes between now and Friday at noon (PST) and I receive the same amount of votes I have been getting, I will reach the first page and make it to the Top 25. So, please, keep voting. It really means a lot.
After work today, I was tasked with bringing in firewood. Dad and my brother in their busy lives used up all that was in the house and decided not to bring more in. And since they seem to have broken limbs, it fell on me to bring in more. And I am exhausted as it is.
Also...
I ruined my shoes today. As I was riding back to the office from the store (I had to get something for lunch), a semi truck filled with Mountain Dew pulled out in front of me. Since I was riding down a hill at a faster than normal speed (but still slower than most vehicles), I didn't get enough time to fully come to stop before I became the newest ingredient in the beverage. So, I swerved into someone's yard. I then hit a bump so hard that I fell off the seat and onto the bar. I was in pain. Then another bump and my feet came off the pedals. I was dragging my feet on the ground. And then another bump. This time, the bike flipped over me, and I came to a stop.
The damage: I have a scuffed right calf. My shoes look as if they were used as erasers and are ruined. My bike, it seems fine because I was able to ride home with no problems. My...parts...are sore. My pride, shaken. This was my first public wreck. I have been really lucky and would only wreck in places that no one is within seeing or hearing distance. This time I was in full view of the world. And because school let out early today, there were even more people in town than usual.
But anyway...
Tomorrow I am finishing up the paper. If I finish early, I will start on the Easter project.
Well, I have an article to type. But I am so tired. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
