A big boost to the trophy cabinet.

In gaming news, I played Final Fantasy XIII, Catherine, and Prince of Persia (the one made by Ubisoft in 2008). I played Final Fantasy XIII mostly, because I was still frustrated with Catherine to continue playing it. I am in Chapter 5 right now, with Lightning and Hope on their way to Palumpolom. I have earned five trophies so far, all story-related.
Then I figured I'd start a file with Prince of Persia. It isn't really the type of game I find fun, but I like being challenged into collecting the Light Seeds. I have healed three or four fertile grounds so far, learned the red plate's ability, and collected around 100 Light Seeds. My trophy count for this game is 11. Including 1 Silver.
And just a bit ago I started up Catherine again. I started a different save file, this time on Normal difficulty. I wanted to access Babel. I've seen Gypsy Elder try Babel so many times, and I wanted to see what it was like from a player's perspective. She was always playing the third stage, but I have only unlocked the first stage. And it is still really tough. My highest step count this evening was 97. I just read that the first stage has about 150 steps, so there's still a ways to go.
Afterward, I attempted the story puzzles on Easy again. I managed to pass the difficult spot in the Clock Tower, and even completed the entire Clock Tower boss stage. Then I hit a snag with the Cathedral. After only 10-20 steps. I have to think outside the box (which is a little funny, since I have to move boxes/blocks). It's those blocks that are jutting out and making it difficult to get around. It would really help if I could move the blocks that can't be moved. Then I could have a bit more room.
Anyway, I became frustrated and stopped playing right before I started typing this up. Trophy count for this game is 10.
I still haven't played Final Fantasy XIII-2. I kinda want to, because it would be something new. It just sits there at the bottom of my PS3 game stack along with Rock Band: Metal Track Pack (which I can't play until I get instruments again).
Also, I am looking online for games that my brother could play. He has been really bored lately with no work coming in. I have been looking at Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition, Grand Turismo 5, and several other racing games. There are a few auctions I am going to try and snipe later tonight to save a few dollars. It beats having to buy gas at their current prices to go to the games stores around here. If you have any suggestions for what he might like to play, leave a comment or message me. He likes racing games and hunting games. He's played a couple war shooters, but I think he prefers to shoot at animals. He has played Dirt 2, Army of Two, some of Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and the Damned and a couple others on his and his friend's co-owned PS3. I just don't want to see him sulking so much with nothing to do. I ask if he wants to play any of my games, but he doesn't care for Final Fantasy games like I do.
Home life has been better. Mainly because I am on the PS3 all day. If I am gaming, then I don't care so much about all the jerk-like stuff that Dad does. I am a much happier person if I have something distracting me from the bad stuff.
I think I will try and stream on YouNow tomorrow. I don't think I am ready for a big audience, so I will stream when the activity is down. I want to kind of do a talk show-esque stream about games. I still think that a pre-play review of Final Fantasy XIII-2 might be entertaining. Besides, I still have the Intro Room available for a little while yet. I am still Level 3 there, and the Intro Room is for Level 1-3 members. If you want, come and watch if you are available.
I also will be recording the commentary for another episode of the tiny-series tomorrow. It will be the fourth episode. Be sure to watch it once it's posted.
Well, tomorrow is all laid out. As far as I know, I don't have anything else planned. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
