Did that just happen?

One of my YouTubers replied to my comment on their video! Oh my GOSH!
Now that that's said, yes, Meekakitty replied to my comment I made on her video yesterday. This is only the second time that a big name YouTuber has acknowledged my existence. The first was when I NintendoCapriSun was posting his Skyward Sword LP. He was filming one episode each day, and each recording he didn't know which save file was his LP file. After four or five days of this, I sent him a comment that told him which one it was. However, I was not in the best mood with him because he was acting like a big jerk during the LP. And it had nothing to do with the game. He was bringing up stuff about his roommate Empolo18 that should probably have been kept secret. So my comment was not as nice as it could have been. His response that he made to my comment in the recording was that he doesn't go back and watch his old videos, so he had no way of knowing which save file was the correct one. What?! You have the resources to know the answer to your own question, and you choose to not find out. Not only that, but you aren't taking advantage of looking back and learning what you need to work on to make your channel that much better! To me, that's something I can't understand. In the end, I grew bored of his videos and unsubscribed. His personality is not something I find enjoyable and his videos have just been bland and not entertaining. I'm still subscribed to The Runaway Guys, though I watch for the back and forth between Chugga and ProtonJon. NCS is just background noise, and is even less entertaining than the AI in the Mario Party 3 LP.
Getting back on subject...
Meekakitty posted this yesterday.
And I noticed that she misspelled a word in her self-made subtitles. So I figured I'd comment in a funny way with
because she butchered the word pigeons. And she replied to it. Yay!Hello Pegoens?
It's not really that amazing. It's just nice to see a YouTuber actually making it a point to connect with the fans.
While I'm on the subject of YouTube, has anyone noticed how nice SmoshGames has been lately with their SGA Spotlight videos? It still isn't up to where the audience would like it, but it is a great improvement from what it was when it started. For those that don't know, SGA Spotlight is a series of videos highlighting the members of SmoshGames Alliance. It shows off submitting video clips, and gets traffic sent to the people who made the videos. However, the three guys presenting the videos were totally trashing them.
The audience went super crazy because of it. Mainly because the people voluntarily submitted the videos, and their only reward is that hopefully someone sees it and clicks on their channel afterward. On top of that, the people who submit their videos are not only getting burned by the guys, but are also giving the company 30% of any money they make during the contract period! The viewers were on a frenzy because it was like they were paying the guys to have their hard work used in this way.
Now, I am a member of SGA. And I even voiced my opinion on the subject, which happens to be with the majority of the viewers. Since each week there are lots of videos submitted for the show, the guys should highlight those that are actually good, instead of making fun of the ones that aren't as great. After all, it is not a good business tactic to constantly make fun of someone who is making you money. It makes them not want to work as hard (usually, there are cases where it does the opposite), and if they don't work hard then you don't get your money.
Anyway, I am not worried. I will gladly give SGA 30% of my YouTube earnings until the contract expires. By that time, I will have earned a whole ten cents. And since I won't see a check until there's $100, when I finally do get paid, SGA will only be entitled to 3 cents. And I have already checked, the money my gaming blog earns is not combined with the YouTube money. Only the channel is linked with SGA, not my blog. My blog earns more anyway.
And in case you're still here reading this, yes, all of this rambling was because I didn't do much of anything today other than play video games. And answer the telephone. And since the phone isn't interesting, and I moved a majority of the gaming stuff to the gaming blog; I don't have anything to type about today. So, yeah...
Anyway...
That's all for now. I am off to play more games. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
Michael
