The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

I am encouraged to sleep in tomorrow.

So, I sent a text message to Iris about the inserts for this week's paper this morning. Her reply was that she wouldn't be in the office today, so there was no way to get them to the shed. But, the office would be open at 9 in the morning, so I could get them then. Rather than tell her how dumb this is, I sent a message back.

Oh. Okay.
They know that I always come to deliver early in the morning, because I like to have the day for other things. They also have known that I would need the inserts in the shed for a whole week. It must have been impossible for them to count to 903, because I really don't see what is so hard about carrying a box 30 feet to the shed. Wait, forget the shed. I don't see what is so hard about placing a box outside on either of the porches.

So now instead of completing my work at 9am, I get to start at 9am. Which means I won't be finished until the afternoon. One of the advantages to working early is that there isn't as much traffic. Now I have to deal with more cars. And more people. And possibly thunder storms. And heat. Tomorrow is turning out to be a "wonderful" day, and it hasn't even started yet.

One of the things I like to do lately is go on Google Maps and just look at other places. It's probably on my ten favorite things to do. To see what other buildings look like (normally the top side of buildings, unless they include a street view) and imagine what goes on inside them.

Recently, I have taken an interest in looking at the landscape of North Korea. I like looking at the "towns" set up around the border to make those looking from South Korea, China, Russia, and the sea think that it is such a nice place to live with beautiful buildings and wonderful architecture. They're normally unnamed places like the village to the Southeast of the Lake called Tongbon-po. You can even tell that a lot of the buildings in places like Pyong Yang (capital city) that a lot of the buildings are just there for looks. Since the tourists aren't able to wander about, it's really easy to have the impression that the place is thriving in architecture. But sadly, most of it isn't real.

And it's too bad that most of the country is blurred out as well. But what's worse is the comments on the some of the places. Now, it may be just because I am naive and think that everyone deserves a chance to be understood; but I don't like to read

Best 10 years of life! Learned lot in Mrs Kymong's Home Studies course. Loved Cooking Lab. Retrievers taste BEST with buckwheat noodles!
for a review of a school. The reviews for the clinic next to that school were much more colorful. But I just don't see why someone would want to do something like that. Especially when it is linked to your public profile on Google. Don't they think of that before they post that stuff. I'm not saying the country is good or anything. But the country hasn't done anything directly to me, so I don't share the opinion of some people I know and think that the U.S. should just blow the country to bits. Now, if they were to say that any person named Michael Swayne should be shot in the head or something, then I might take offense to that and grow to hate the country.

Next topic.

Someone in Queensland in London tried to access my Facebook account overnight. When I woke up this morning, I had to change my my password for my account. And then I change the passwords and upped the security for all of my accounts of things. I don't know if should be honored that someone in the UK thought I would be a good person to have their identity tampered with, or disgusted that someone tried to access something as private as my completely public Facebook profile. If they wanted to know about me, they could just read my updates or something. Or maybe they wanted to play the games that I don't play. Or what if the person got tired of waiting for me to accept their gift on Candy Crush, because the game has gotten to the point of beyond annoying. Why won't they give me a better selection of candy to help me complete that retched level? Or it's possible they wanted to take my 21 Facebook credits I saved up from drinking Sun Drop soda. Anyway, everything is back to normal security wise.

So, tomorrow I am delivering. I probably won't be home until after 3pm. It just depends on the weather. And I just learned something that I probably shouldn't have learned. Literally seconds ago. But I can't go into that. Not right now anyway.

I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...

Later!

Michael
