I have conversations with my computer...

I have discovered the voice recognition program of my computer. It is love/hate thing. At first, I loved not having to type stuff. I thought it was really funny when I would sing a Japanese or Korean song while the voice thing typed what it thought I said in English. Very funny, indeed. Then, as I was playing hearts without having to physically play, it got really annoying. I had to say every card two or more times in order for the thing to understand what I wanted chosen. And even then I would have to pick a number they gave the card because the computer still couldn't hear what I said.
Anyway, here's another video...
Make sure to turn your volume up some in order to hear my voice. I still haven't figured out how to change the mic's volume level. Anyway, I think I will continue making videos of Boonka. I will be starting out slow, maybe one video per week. That way I can ease into it. I don't want to make a lot of videos all at once and then lose interest in a few weeks. With this one video per week, I can test the waters and then plan for the future. I still want to make QWOP videos, but that may be a once in while thing.
I received my DDR game in the mail today. And I wish I could say I rocked it. I didn't. I was over confident and picked the harder songs and chose advanced levels. I failed miserably. I will play in the future. Definitely.
Other than that, there wasn't much else going on. Some things I should update on. First, the Messenger's Facebook page has more than 50 Likes (Yay!), and also has more Likes than my Dad and brother's mechanic page (Yay more!). However, I did a bad thing to get those Likes. I made my brother and sister admins of the page, and logged in using their passwords and Emails. Then, I went to the Messenger page and personally invited all their friends to Like the page. After that, I logged back in under my name and removed their access as admins. I kinda already had permission to do that. From my sister. I asked her to invite people to the page, and since she couldn't share it from her phone (for some reason), I told I could do it from my computer if I had her password. She gave it to me, and I shared the page. Here's where the "kinda" part comes in. I shared it from her page about a week ago. I got on her profile and personally invited her friends just the other day. So I kinda did have permission. Kinda.
As for my brother, well, I told him I was thinking of doing it. When he didn't object (or agree) to it, I did it anyway. He didn't say no, but he didn't say yes either. But still, he didn't say no.
Now if only Gabby would personally invite all of her friends to Like the page. I will have to get her to do it when we are at work together next time.
Also, the paper sold its first ad through the Facebook page. We sold the last ad spot for the menu I have been working on. I was so excited to see that just a few minutes after I posted about having only one spot left, a business came forward and bought it. On top of that, I won't have to actually make it. Less work for me! Yay! It was sent to the office Email.
Speaking of the office Email, let me just say that it totally sucks. Mainly because for some reason I can only log on at random times throughout the day when I am at home. I check it while I'm here to get rid of all the spam and junk mail we get. Since the Email has a limited amount of space, it has to be cleaned out constantly. But yeah, I can usually check it after 3pm in the afternoon and maybe early in the morning. The rest of the time Roadrunner is so slow to load the page. Is it because I use Google Chrome? I haven't checked it using IE. Let me check now...
No, it's not loading in IE either. Oh well. I did a major cleanup yesterday and took out have the stuff that had been there for years. There were weekly updates from the press from 2011. And all of the Facebook updates. Those take up a ton of space! Anyway, there is still 50MB of space on it (out of 100MB), so I won't have to check it as often from now on.
Today I also learned where the paper goes in my printer. I wanted to know if the ink cartridges had anything in them, since my fingers would get ink on them if I touched them. Since it was given to me used, and didn't come with a manual, I had to look it up. It's one of those all in ones with all kinds of places for paper. Anyway, I figured it out. And no, the cartridges didn't have ink in them. eBay, here I come!
Well, that's all for now. Tomorrow I have designated it to be my "write a letter to Mom so I can send it out on Monday and she can receive it before her birthday" day. I have about three or four months of stuff to tell her, and I don't plan on leaving anything out. She may have to read it in shifts when she gets it.
I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
Michael
