How much longer until I see that yellow light...?

My PS3 is really aggravating me. It is so slow to start up. I will turn it on, but then it shuts off in seconds. I have to keep turning it on for upwards of ten minutes. And then it will randomly shut off while I play, forcing me to restart whatever I'm playing. What's worse is that I can't start any new games, because it will shut off at the start menus of games. I will be so glad when I can get a new one. And I will be getting a new one. If I could, I would just get the one I have repaired. But it would most likely cost as much if not more than a new one, plus I bought it used and I probably couldn't get it repaired because of that. Until I get the funds though, I will just have to deal with it.

One bad thing about this whole PS3 problem is that it really makes me not want to work toward earning trophies or play video games at all. I ended up losing the first match of season 4 against Kochiya-Shana. I scored only 29 points during the match. My opponent scored around 100 points. My second opponent is against X18JELLO18X, who I lost to during Season 3. By luck, I managed to install the game files for Dishonored last night, and was able to play long enough to earn one trophy. And before I went to sleep, I had downloaded all of the DLC items for Final Fantasy XIII-2, with the intention of playing the game for this second match. But it repeatedly shut off when I got to the start menu. I will try again today, because I would really like to play it. Not only for the match, but because I want to complete the goal I set for myself two months. But if I am unable to do that, then I don't know what I will play for the match. So, I guess we'll see.

I will be receiving the Japanese language textbooks and computer ink today. At least, I hope I receive them. I am still worried that the mail carrier will drop off the books at the old house. And since the ink is coming with it, I don't know what will happen. Will the carrier drop that off at the old house, or drop the books off here with the ink. I should have been more careful when ordering the books. The laptop batteries may also be delivered today. That package is only 35 miles away at the moment. It may come today, but the expected date of delivery is tomorrow. I hope it comes today. It would be nice to be able to do my computer stuff outside or closer to the wi-fi router without having to be plugged into the wall.

And it especially means I will be one step closer to getting the money for a new bike. And you know what? I think I may use the money to maybe...buy a PS3. Maybe. I do have the mountain bike. Maybe what I will do is buy a cheaper cruiser bike, and use the rest of the money to pay for the PS3. I don't know. I do know that I will be majorly bored if I don't have a way to play video games. And then I will lose the competition, and as it means nothing and is a competition for no prize whatsoever, I want to not give in and admit complete defeat.

I will figure something out. So, I guess that's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...

Later!

Michael

Is it especially warm where you live? Where do you store your ps3?

It is sitting near the television, both of which are on top of my dresser. As for temperature, right now it is 21.1 degrees, but is has been upwards of 30 degrees in my room recently.

might need to invest in a way to keep your room cooler, as it's probably shutting down due to overheating. Ps3 is kinda sensative in this aspect. Its good that you keep it on top of a dresser, though.

Unfortunately, despite having an air conditioner in my room, I am not allowed to have it on until nighttime. But once I get to turn it on, I keep it at around 22 degrees.
