The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

I posted on Facebook my announcement that I will one day soon be me4lingual. But along with that, I also said that I will also become me5lingual. That's because yesterday I was bored. And in my boredom I went to a textbook publishing website. From there, I made a list of books I would want. Because I wasn't going to $50+ per book, I took the list and went amazon.com. From there, I scored a series of Japanese textbooks (with the accompanying workbooks) for less than $10. I used my cashback from my credit card to pay for the textbooks, which made me only have to pay $2.28. The books were listed as Very Good. The workbook was more expensive, because I had to make sure to buy a new one. There would be no sense in buying it if it had already been marked up and all. For the workbook, I used some of my mTurk money. All in all, I think I got a good deal.

So yeah, the journey on becoming me4 and me5 will begin in a couple weeks, possibly sooner. I guess I will start on whichever language arrives first. The material from TTMIK is coming from Seoul, so I figure I will be learning Japanese first. Anyway, after seeing the prices of the other language books, I am inclined to maybe purchase them soon as well. I saw German, Italian, French, and Russian. There was also Latin, but for some reason it doesn't interest me. Which is weird because it's a language, and I love languages. Anyway, maybe one day I will be me9lingual. Eventually, I will just change my PSN name to thepolyglot or something and be done with it. Maybe not that specifically, because I just checked and it has already been taken. But the whole me + # + lingual is a part of me, so maybe I will just stick to that pattern.

The competition starts on the 11th at midnight, or September 10 at 7pm in my timezone. I did an analysis of the other competitors and myself, and I have predicted I will finish the season in 4th Place. This is solely based on previous season experience, so it will only come to be if all ten of us keep to the same scoring habits as we have during the previous seasons. Unfortunately, 4th Place is outside of the range for promotion. Only the top two players in the Gold League will be promoted to Platinum. The bottom three will be demoted to Silver. I will be content if I manage to stay out of the bottom three.

I am almost to the Platinum trophy in Skyrim. I have two more Shouts to learn, and only five levels away until the Platinum trophy will be mine. And as much as I would love to have those trophies, I am going to wait until the competition. And, I still want the Platinum to be #1,000. Right now I am 993, so I need five more before I can get the Platinum. I just have decide what those five will be from. But until then, I will work on raising my level in Skyrim and finding more Shouts.

And I will have plenty of time to do that, because I am home alone today. Carma and Joey are at the Wild West Festival today. They left about 30 minutes ago, and won't be back until this evening. So I predict a fullday of playing video games in my immediate future. And that is a very nice plan.
