It is Here!

This morning I woke up my brother at 5:25am to get him ready to take me to the office. The bike that I was to use as a substitute was not in the office. I sent a text message to Misty, and she replied to get the bike at her house. The bike I used was in great condition. It's a pity that it doesn't get used more often. A bike that nice deserves to be out and about, not sitting in a garage collecting dust. On Monday, I plan to tell her that if she wants to get rid of it I will buy it. I could always use a spare bicycle.
While I was working, my brother was assembling the bicycle that arrived at 8am this morning. The box it came in was nearly as big as our pool table. That's actually where the box is right now, because we haven't anywhere else to put it other than on top of the pool table. It looks so much better in person than in the picture. The basket is a bit smaller than I hoped. It probably couldn't fit 150-200 newspapers in it. The rack though will make up for it, it extends and I can fit my other basket on there. All I have to do is find my bungee straps and just strap the basket onto the rack. The beverage holder does what it is supposed to. It's not insulated though. It's a great bike.
It will take some getting used to. I haven't used a single-gear bike in years. On top of that, it is the type that uses a coaster brake rather than brake cables. But I like it, and that's all that matters.
My messenger bag's strap broke today. It looks like I will have to go back to using my old messenger bag. At least until I can fix this one. That's the last time I will buy something from a South Korean sweatshop. (I actually don't know if it was made in a sweatshop, but I assume so because of how cheap it was.)
This evening I tutored Joey. When the hour was up, we played hide and seek and some video games. He isn't the RPG-playing type. I learned that by having him play Ni No Kuni. And it wasn't until 2.5 hours had gone by that his Aunt finally got ready to take him home. I think I am just being used as a babysitter instead of a tutor. I hopped on my new bike and rode toward his house. I stopped over at his house to show his great-grandfather (the person who's paying me to tutor him) what his tutoring money paid for. Joey and I raced on our bikes. When I pulled ahead, Joey hopped off his bike and jumped on mine. We rode around a little, with him on the rack.
The sky was really getting stormy looking, so I made my way back home. Then I put my bike back in the house, and cleaned up the tutoring supplies and started this blog entry. Now, I am typing up everything that happened today.
As for Ni No Kuni, I haven't played it yet. I watched Joey play up to the point where you are to go talk to Philip (about 2 minutes into the game), and then watching Gypsy Elder play it last week. All I have actually done is rearrange and delete some of the memory on my hard drive to make room for it.
Now I am really mad! I had my flash drive on my desk when Joey and I came to my room to play. While he was messing with the stuff on my desk, he must have dropped it on the floor. That explains the crunch I heard when he hopped off my chair. It is in two pieces now. There goes $10 in the trash. Unless there's a way to put it back together.
Well, I am going to get off here to go play some games and calm down. I am going to be up a while, because it's raining and my brother has his "girlfriend" and her crying baby over again. So sleep will not be on my schedule tonight.
I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
Michael
