The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

Yesterday morning I still had Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in the PS3 when I woke up. So, I figured I would risk it and see how far I could get with the snail-speed Internet. It took three tries to get a connection strong enough to get to the character select screen. When I finally got to choose Amarant, I looked at Ultros and started a new character. I got lucky and now I am playing there. So, yay!

It took me so long to accept the invitation to the TFF Free Company that it expired, and I had to submit an application. Luckily, Andromeda's friend request didn't have a countdown clock on it. I guess you can say that I've begun my journey, and am ready to take on the world. I have ventured beyond the city gates and have seen that it looks very nice outside. I learned that giant monsters hurt my character a lot, especially when I am only Level 4. I really like my character and his current job class. Using a book as a weapon, it's so neat. I completed several missions, mostly run around the city stuff, but some involved killing monsters and stuff. I also joined and completed my first FATE.

In other games...

Final Fantasy X - The party has reached the top of Mt. Gagazet, and is about to go up against the fiend at the top.

Skyrim - I began working on the Lost to the Ages trophy. I am half finished, with two Aetherium shards left to find. I need two more skill books to read to earn the associated trophy. And then I need a few more dragon souls, and some more Shouts to learn as well.

The fifth match of the competition right now shows me losing at the moment. The current score is 14-5. But I haven't updated my trophies, and I did earn a couple last night. I hope my plan works and I make X18JELLO18X think I haven't earned any trophies. Well, other than the 5 points I already have. And the standings after match 4 have been released...

I am climbing back up to the top. If I defeat X18JELLO18, then we will switch places. I am glad I still hold the second-highest score in the Bronze League. Maybe with some luck I can get the highest score before the season ends. And from the looks of it, Havoc273 is the closest to being safe from demotion. If he wins this match, then he's guaranteed at least 8th place. I, on the other hand, will have to win two more matches to even begin guaranteeing myself anything. But it sure does feel nice being back in the promotion spots.

I think today I will try and complete more of Skyrim. I will check and see how far I am from getting the remaining trophies, and then work toward earning them. Then this evening I will try to sleep before having to get ready for work. If that's not possible, I will probably play UNO or Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn because the Internet will be faster. I may also try and squeeze in some Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time in to try and get the remaining trophies for the Platinum. Either that of Jak II.
