The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

I didn't forget to update this morning. I chose to not update it this morning. The reason being I wanted to earn more trophies before time ran out. So I am updating this now while listening to the song that plays while waiting for updates for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to download. That's right, I finally am getting everything together to start playing. It did updates last night until it shut itself off, and it is doing more tonight. Right now there are 42 minutes left, and it's downloading the May 27, 2014 update at 1.15MB/s. I am excited to finally join the lot of you in these adventures. I just ask that you go easy on me, as I know pretty much nothing about this or MMO games in general.

I was thinking, and part of me wants to be with the majority of you all on Ultros. But then part of me wants to break out on my own and see what is in store for me. You know, just like a majority of the Final Fantasy games. They don't all start out with a band of friends who are journeying toward the same goal. Actually, the only ones I can think of that are like that are I, II, and X-2. Maybe VIII and XIII-2. Anyway, I guess I still have time to think about it, huh.

Now there's Match 4 to talk about. My opponent never did accept my friend request, nor did he or she update their profile with their updated trophies. So, there's a good chance I won the match 32-0. That will be great for my SD column. It will put me back on the positive side. And the win is just what I needed after getting that loss in Match 3. Actually, I take back what I said about winning 32-0. I just checked the trophy log again, and it seems he or she scored one point during our match. A single Bronze trophy from Persona 4 Golden. Either way, a win is a win. And I needed a win.

As for Match 5, I have already score 4 points against my new opponent X18JELLO18X. A friend of mine and I were talking about the competition, and was confused on how I could lose Match 3 when I had so many trophies I could have easily earned. He had wanted me to try and get the ones in Final Fantasy X. Since I know the game, I could have gotten the story trophies easily. So, since I had no definite plan of attack for this match, I put in the disc and continued Final Fantasy X HD. I checked the trophy list, and then instead of walking up Mt. Gagazet, I walked back to the Calm Lands in search of the Al Bhed Primer I missed. While I was in the neighborhood, I did some chocobo training. I earned the trophy for both training a chocobo, and also finishing the race with a time of 0.0. When that second trophy popped on the screen, I jumped off the bed and danced. It was the first time I have ever gotten that time. I have had the games for years and finally scored 0.0, it was amazing! Then to top it all off, I went to Remiem Temple for the Al Bhed Primer and also to try my hand at earning the trophy for getting five treasure chests and still winning the chocobo race. After what was at least 20 tries, I finally managed to win the race. And that's how I have four points already in this fifth match of the competition.

My opponent, X18JELLO18X is one of the players currently ahead of me in the Bronze League. This Canadian is PSN Level 16 62%, and ranked 78,000 in the world. He told me that he will most likely only update to the site once or twice each day. I will just have to adjust my style for this match. I will try my best to keep him guessing, simply by not syncing my trophies as often. I don't want to give him an information advantage.

Well, it is telling me to pick a Data Center. I am going to go with Primal. Ooh, now the intro is playing! So, I guess that's it for now. I will be online for a while. I hope to see you around the forums (or in Eorzea), and until then...
