The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

Delivering today was okay. It rained lightly throughout most of the it. There was one kinda funny thing worth mentioning.

As circulation manager, it's my job to separate the newspapers and any inserts among the carriers. Since Jenn, one of our sales staff members is also a carrier now (for how much longer, I don't know), I place her allotted amount on her desk. Today we had our summer recreation guide to be distributed alongside the papers. When Jenn came in today, she took her rec guides, but left her papers on her desk. Instead, she took the stack of papers that were for the owner's delivery route.

I arrived at the office just in time to fix this mistake (I was out delivering when she first got to the office). I noticed what she did, and immediately ran down the road after her to tell her she had the wrong papers.

She came back to the office and explained why she took the owner's papers. She assumed that the bundles were in groups of 200, and thought that I had put 1400 papers on her desk. When in reality the bundles were in groups of 100 and I put her normal 700 papers on her desk.

It's a little funny because she honestly didn't know. But it was also irresponsible of her for not thinking that everything on her desk was for her. If I had gotten back to the office one minute later than I did, then there would still be 700 undelivered papers at the office. Anyway, she will really be surprised when we have a 24+ page paper next week. They will have those bundled in 50s.

After returning home, I took a nap to catch up on the sleep I didn't get last night. It rained most of the night, and only Itsy Bitsy slept in my room with me. I couldn't sleep because of the rain, and because the boys were outside during the storm, and I was thinking of tons of things all at once and my mind wouldn't let me relax enough to sleep.

I counted up my entire list of games today after the nap. It totaled 302. That's also including Xenosaga III (which hasn't arrived yet) and Phantasy Star Universe (which I bought today and won't arrive until next week). I will start the method of decision later tonight, and will most likely spend a large portion of tomorrow cutting down the 302 to 30. Then those 30 will be the topic of my second blog post at michaelswayne.blogspot.com. I haven't actually finalized how I will choose the first game I will play, but it will need to be more creative than my usual ways of choosing.

That pretty much sums up what I will be doing tomorrow after I ride to Sinking Spring to deliver there. I think I may check out the new store's clothing selection while I'm there. I haven't bought new clothes in a few months, and I could use some new summer clothes.
