Back into things.

Okay, so I haven't been online much this past weekend. After I finished the entry for Friday night (which was posted Saturday morning), I did what was asked and disconnected everything downstairs so the people fixing the wall down there would have a clear way to do their job. And then I waited. And waited. And they never showed up. I instead played games with Joey and tried to keep him occupied because Carma was bringing in Easter stuff. I discovered that using the HDMI cable that came with my PS3 makes the picture so much better than what the Red/Yellow/White cord does. When I am back on my feet and all that, the first thing I want to save up money (after a house, that is) is definitely a fancy television. I was all, "I have had this cord with me for more than a year, and yet I never thought to use it?" Well, I am using it, and I am loving the picture quality. Nico Bellic doesn't look as portly as he did with the old setup. And the Final Fantasy X group have also seen some nice improvements as well.
Anyway, it wasn't until Sunday evening when I reconnected the Internet. However, it wasn't working right for some reason. The signal was dead at 10 feet away, and even at 3 feet away the signal was very low. No matter what Carma and I tried, the signal would never even reach 70% upstairs. And then, the signal would drop off every few minutes. It would reconnect five minutes later, but just go out again. In the end, we gave up and Carma said she would call the company on Monday.
Easter was okay. The night before, Carma asked me to get rid of what Joey left out for the Easter bunny. In its place, I put a note I made that looked like the Easter bunny wrote it. And on Easter morning, he saw it there with his candy and eggs. And being the 6-year-old he is, he asked a million questions a million times. It seemed that I was the only one having to field the questions, because I was closer to the Easter bunny when he was in the house. After that, I cleaned up the yard some while Carma and Joey got ready to go to their family's dinner. My plans were to have Mom come over, and we would have a picnic. However, Mom sent a text message at the last minute saying that she had no way of getting here because my brother had went out mushroom hunting. I wasn't hurt by it, because I figured it would happen. Anyway, I am not one for get-togethers, no matter the size. I would much rather spend time alone playing a video game or reading a book.
And then today (Monday), the people to fix the wall finally showed up. They worked quickly and efficiently, even if it was loud. Despite the noise, Carma didn't wake up until they were nearly finished. I don't know how she could sleep through that. Anyway, after they were gone, I tried setting up the wi-fi again. And this time there were no problems. The signal is strong, and that's why I am able to type this blog entry.
I was also able to download the DLC for Nier. This game is truly great, in my opinion. The story so far is amazing, and paired up with the very fitting music, it makes for a game that I felt was worth of me paying $6.99 for more of the game. Right now, I am doing little sidequests. I hate sidequests, but even this game puts a story into the sidequests. Especially the Lighthouse Lady story. That was very touching. Anyway, if Drakengard 3 is like Nier, then I am almost positive that I will enjoy it. And maybe it's just because it is the same developers and all, but doesn't Zero and Kainé look similar? I know they aren't the same person, but I think they have similar features.
And in Final Fantasy X HD Remaster, the party is currently under Lake Macalania. I have all the Al Bhed primers I can get at this point. I do think that the party is a bit under-developed than what I am used to having them at this point. But then again, that is probably due to possibly not grinding as much as usual. The Seymour battle in Macalania Temple took a lot longer than what I remember. And for reference, I am using the Standard Sphere Grid. I think the only party member that is at a level I remember being at for this point in the game is Lulu. She has already learned Bio. Normally, that is something I don't get access to until after they land on Bikanel. I have Kimahri following Wakka's path on the Grid, which is not something I usually do. I normally have him follow Tidus. And due to a surplus in Lv. 1 Key Spheres, I had Rikku go and work on the are that Kimahri usually covers. Apart from Rikku and Kimahri, the party is just following what I usually have them follow.
Luca is adjusting well here, and I couldn't be happier. Well, I could. I think what will make me even happier is when I finally get her in a fenced-in area, rather than have her chained to her house. She is closer to the house here than where she used to be. I feed her in the mornings and in the evenings now. Before I would just give her enough food for the whole day, but here there are other dogs and I don't want them eating her portion. I think the only thing I wish would change is that I don't like when Luca twists her chain up and makes her reach shorter. She's on a 25-foot chain, but she rolls around and twists to only 7 or 8 feet. I have to go out and untwist it for her every day, sometimes multiple times each day. It's not a big deal really, because I am happy that she is here with me.
I got a phone call from one of the office workers at the newspaper this afternoon. She didn't yield a reason on why, but she told me that I can't start delivering the papers until after 9am on Thursday. It doesn't usually mean good things when I am told this, especially when I don't know the reasoning behind it. I guess I should be grateful for the extra hours of sleep. But there is still a sick feeling in my stomach about it. I am so out of touch with what goes on there, that I have no clue about Thursday. Oh well.
Well, that's about it for right now. I wrote this in the early evening, because I was just happy to have the signal back up and running. I wanted to get it published so no one was thinking I quit the Internet, or that I had something bad happen to me. Anyway, I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
