The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

Boys Day Out

This morning, I woke up and had this crazy urge to finally watch The Hunger Games. So, I watched it. It was good. I haven't read the book, so I don't know how much I missed by only watching the movie. The movie did leave with several questions, and mainly because I think it ended badly. I was left thinking, "So, what happens next? Are Peeta and Cat (Kat?) a couple now? And what about that other guy? Why was his (the other guy's) name in there 42 times? And why are there Hunger Games anyway?" But as I said, the ending was bad. I was hoping to hear that because of their valiant efforts, there wouldn't be a Hunger Games anymore. I didn't get that impression with the ending. But it was still a good movie.

After the movie, my brother and I started talking about a trip to either West Union or Hillsboro. He had to go get a radiator for a customer's car. I asked if I could go with him. I had been doing all kinds of research on PS3 prices, and thought that maybe the two of us could buy one together and I could pay him back for his part of it. But he didn't really have the money to lend me.

But I still got to go with him and Dad to Hillsboro. First we went to Lowe's, where I almost bought a desk lamp that I didn't need. Then at Wal-Mart, I bought a bicycle helmet ($21.97 + tax), Monopoly DEAL card game ($6.88 + tax), and some socks ($8.77 + tax). I also purchased the Greatest Hits version of Final Fantasy XIII for PS3 ($15.00 + tax). Yes, I know I don't have a PS3. But, I will soon. Besides, I have already played it before, so it's not like I don't know what happens in it. I just won't be able to play it a second time until I get a PS3 of my own. *For those of you that don't know, I rented FFXIII from Gamefly when my brother's friend was keeping his PS3 at my house a couple years ago.

But yeah, now my Final Fantasy game collection looks like this:

Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls
Final Fantasy III DS
Final Fantasy Chronicles (FFIV and Chrono Trigger)
Final Fantasy Anthology (FFV and FFVI)
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2
Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance
Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light

I apologize if I've forgotten one, I haven't updated my list in a while...because I haven't found it. It's somewhere in my desk.

Then, we finished the trip by eating at Burger King. And the best part was that we ate inside the restaurant! We never do that! My fries had two onion rings in it.

Finally, on the way home we listened to some of the worst Kid Rock music I have ever heard. Dad bought a CD at Wal-Mart (What's a CD???) and I think even he was regretting buying it. The music was horrible!

Something super happened during this trip. On the way to Hillsboro, we passed a sign that looked so familiar to me. Almost like I have passed it every day all my life. I didn't see it too clearly, but the sign gave me this weird feeling as if I've seen it so much. On the way back, I got an even closer view of it. I realized where I have seen the sign before.

I have seen the sign before, because I made it!!!!!

It was one of the businesses I have built an ad for. And they used my ad design to make the sign in front of the business! I was practically jumping on the truck's seat I was so excited. To think that something I made is along the road for everyone to see as they go by is so amazing! I didn't think to get a picture of the sign (until we were almost home), but I have the ad I made in the paper.

Anyway, I have designed a sign! That is so cool!!

In other news, I am ranked 32nd for Gaming King. I have 180 votes so far. I would really like to reach the Top 25, so don't forget to vote. You can vote 10 times per category per day, and the voting ends on Friday at 12noon (PST). And if you put 10 votes in all five categories, you get 10 bonus votes you give to whoever you want (hopefully me!). So, if you don't mind, continue to vote for me.

I noticed something with King of the Web. There is only one person in my category that I actually am familiar with, and that's NintendoCapriSun. The rest I have no clue who they are. What's more is that NCS is ranked number 12. Most of the people ahead of me don't even actively campaign. Some haven't even posted videos in months!

Moving on...

I don't work until Tuesday. So I get one more day of relaxation here at home. I am hoping that Mario Party 7 arrives tomorrow. What would be better is if my new messenger bag arrives tomorrow as well. Then I could go to work on Tuesday with both my new helmet and new messenger bag. I would look all nice and spiffy.

I am one step closer to my Spring Vacation. I now know where exactly I am going. Brittney sent me the address. All I have to do now is save up the money and prepare for the trip. I have to make a copy of our graduation DVD, and find out about getting a copy of our senior yearbook. I am going to give them to her as a gift, because she wasn't able to get them herself when we were in school. Other than that, all I have to do is psyche myself up for the trip. And that is really all the preparing I need to do. Well, and to choose when to actually go. That's a major part of it as well. I don't want to go when it is storming or something.

Well, that's all for now. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...

Later!

Michael

PS, has anyone heard of the game Slendytubbies?

The Hunger Games - shoulda read the books first, man. There's quite a bit that wasn't translated well into the movie.

Even Better: Battle Royale - I can't think of the author's name. It came out in '99 originally in Japanese and later translated into English. Yes there's also a movie (only in Japanese with subtitles, though). IF you have an Android or iPhone and are into eBooks: tuebl.com For Android users, Moon+ Reader is recommended, Stanza for iPhone / iPad users). Battle Royale is available for free download.

    You're welcome. XD
