The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

Well, I guess really is more like 3.5 days, since Mom will be here before noon on Monday. The plan is still that my brother and sister will be going to get her. My brother's reinstatement fee was processed today, so I have been told that he is a legal driver again. I didn't do anything to prepare for Mom's return today, because I have spent most of my time at home today sleeping.

Work today really worked me. I was finished at the usual winter time (about 1pm), but the cold temperature and wind took a lot out of me. I spent some time at Grandma's, and we watched some of the 2nd round matches at the Australian Open. I wish I was there in the 100+ degree heat instead of the 30 degree coldness here. When I said that to Grandma, she said, "You might get too hot playing tennis there." I told her that I wouldn't mind if I was playing tennis or watching the match, or just being there. As long as I was there in the heat, I would be happy. At 3:45pm, I rode home, because my brother still hadn't gotten off of work. After getting home, I worked on getting the fire going. And then I ate. Curly fries, pizza, the sliced turkey in the fridge, cookies; basically everything I could put my hands on. I was hungry. After all that, I fell asleep.

I woke up at 9pm, and had to bring in firewood. My brother came home from work. He saw me bringing in firewood, and didn't offer to help. After that, we talked some. And then I looked at the clock and saw that it was 11pm. So, my brother went to sleep, and I started this entry.

Tomorrow I am riding to Sinking Spring. I hope my wish comes true and that the snow will be gone and it will be a warm ride to the post office.
