I have new neighbors. I guess Sharon finally tricked someone into buying her house. I feel bad for them, they spent all that money and all they got in return was that dump. I haven't met them yet, but my brother and Dad said they were nice.
It was unnaturally warm again today, so it has been really hot in the house. Right now it is 82 degrees (28.0 Celsius).
I started over with Star Ocean: Till the End of Time today. In fact, I finished my complete delete for the new year. My gaming slate is completely clean. Anyway, I earned my first battle trophy. Trophy #30. I made a fancy spreadsheet chart to mark my progress. I read on a different forum about each individual trophy. I know I could probably never get all 300 of them. My goal for now is 25.
Since I will probably never play Xenosaga Episode I, I decided to buy a Dance Dance Revolution game instead. I am really good at rhythm games. I am not like that Japanese kid on Youtube...
but I grasped it quickly. The first time I played was when I was 15 or 16, at an arcade in Cincinnati (or Newport, Kentucky - I don't remember which side of the river I was on). I was asked to try out the DDR machine they had. I was given three songs, all on Hard difficulty, and passed each one. I didn't play again until I bought the High School Musical dance game. HSM has no challenge to it. Anyway, I will finally own a DDR game! I can't wait, but I must.
I moved my small TV back over to my desk, and connected my PS2 to it. For the time while I am playing Star Ocean: TtEoT, I prefer it on my desk. I will move it to my big TV when DDR arrives. I may take it to our giant projection TV (which is safe for gaming, I checked) in the front room. My family doesn't use it except as a place to put the mail. I use it for gaming once in a while, but only for rhythm games. My former friend Sarah and I played Rock Band and Guitar Hero on it. It was great to not be squashed together in my brother's bedroom playing on his bed. I got to rock out on the drums (Expert difficulty) with plenty of space.
Anyway, that's all for tonight. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
Michael
