The Michael Swayne Story V: King of his Castle

It's cold right now, and it will be even colder when I leave for town in a few hours. I have already checked, and the paper is on schedule to arrive, provided the person bringing it remembers to. Now, I just have to hope that the inserts are in the shed when I arrive, that way I won't have to wait. I sent a message, and the reply was that they would be. However, the last time I was in this situation, I had to wait for hours because they weren't.

Here's my plan. Dress warmly, bring entertainment. That's all I can do.

I went to bring my bike in the house, and discovered that my tire was nearly flat. I then went back to the house, and asked my brother about it. He didn't seem interested. I got the normal "I don't know" from him. So I went back to the garage and inflated it. I am hoping that the cold temperature in the garage made it that way, and not a puncture. I guess I will know soon. I think my brother didn't check well enough when seeing if there was something in the tire.

I received Fallout: New Vegas today. It's okay. I don't like playing Caravan. Of course, I only played it once. And everything seems so orange. But I guess that's how it would most likely look in a post-apocalyptic SW United States. I don't remember it being so orange when I lived in the Southwest, but things could have changed in the nearly 20 years I have been in Ohio.

Let's see. Dad dropped by to tell me that my brother had a flat tire on his truck today. And that someone would be dropping their vehicle off at the house. Why he didn't just call, I'll never know. Maybe it's his way of feeling like he's a part of this house.

I had another training session for the tournament this evening. After it ended, I went and played a few songs that had recently been added. And wouldn't you know it, since the amount of plays hadn't reached the thousands, I earned performance points. Now, instead of ranking #300,000+, I am currently #207,211. And all because I played a few songs. I fully expect to come home from work tomorrow and see that my rank has gone down a lot.

But, if I hadn't of played the songs, I wouldn't have discovered this little gem of hilarity...
