This morning I woke up at 4:30am, and was unable to go back to sleep. So I just stayed in bed petting Omega. That cat has been sleeping so close to me lately, as if he thinks I may not be there when he wakes up or something. At 6, I turned on the computer and watched another helping of DailyGrace videos. She is very funny.
Then I began getting ready for work at 7:30. By 8am, I was out the door and on my way to work. The wind was strong. It didn't help much that I was riding against it. Sometimes I wish I could rig a sail to my bike and get places that way. It would've helped a lot today.
I unlock the office and discover that all the trash cans have been confiscated. Apparently, the owner does not want us using trash cans. I have no idea why. It is just one of her crazy ideas. That, and revoking our permission to eat lunch in the office. I do see her point. Kinda. Since we are open from 10am-3pm, we could always eat before we come to work, or just wait until we get home to eat. But when you're me and you are at work anytime from 8-5, you are bound to get hungry. And really, the commission pay people could always go somewhere to eat because they can come as they please. But I get paid hourly, and so I want to work through lunch.
So, Gabby and I ate in the office today. When we finished, I took our trash to the store next door and threw it their dumpster. There was no way I was going to take it all the way home.
Anyway, I didn't have much to put in the paper. When I completed that, I worked on the Dairy Bar Menu. There are still three ads I have to place. Two of these three ads are being made by the owner and I haven't received them yet. The third was sent through Email, and it couldn't be viewed with our computer's programs. I opened it when I got home, saved the image as a JPEG, and emailed it back to the office. The owner is wanting to give the client a proof of the ad this week, so I have a good amount to do before it's ready. I have to finish the title section, fill in the menu section, and find some appetizing pictures of cheeseburgers and milkshakes to put in for art.
It's hard working on a food project when eating is now frowned upon at the office.
The one change that really aggravates me is that I am now not allowed to print things using the printer that is right next to me. That printer is now reserved for Iris only. I have to use one on the other side of the office. I have to take a flash drive to the corresponding computer, and print it off over there. Just another thing that the owner is doing.
I shouldn't complain. I have a job, and so I should appreciate the opportunity I have. But it still sucks.
I left work at 3pm, because I was not going to stay after. I stopped at Grandma's on the way home and chatted with her. As I was leaving, Dad drove by. When I was nearly home, Dad passed me. He didn't stop. And he hasn't spoken a word to me since I have been home. I know he read my letter, or at least saw it, because it wasn't where I left it when I got back home.
And that's how things are right now. I didn't eat dinner, because I didn't want to be near Dad. He has a tendency to throw utensils when he's acting a whining little b-word, and our table is small.
Moving on...
I am working on collecting the cars for Brucie in Grand Theft Auto IV. I have gotten nine so far. I haven't advanced the story though.
I am going to be tutoring a kid on reading and spelling starting Friday. I told the kid's Grandfather that I would do it for one or two dollars per week, but he insisted on five per lesson. I didn't disagree with him, because he was adamant. So after I got home from the meeting, I went online to look for some fun computer spelling games for the kid. Since he'll be here for the lessons, I may as well make use of my resources. I also have some old spelling books in storage somewhere here. I will get them out tomorrow.
Tomorrow I am back in the office to finish my work. Other than that, I have nothing planned. The ride should be nice as well. I am looking forward to it.
Well, that's all for now. I am off to steal some cars. I hope to see you around the forums, and until then...
Later!
