In Which I Talk About School

I get a lot of questions about where I went to highschool (not on here really, but in general) and I always find myself stunned. There's too much to cover in a few sentences. However, for his graduation project, my best friend did a retrospective video about our school. So, to help me organize what to say when people ask, and to kind of keep a reminder of where I've been, I'll make this post.
Early College is a five year alternative to regular American highscool, during which students attend a community college and are dual enrolled in college and highschool classes with the goal of getting a two year degree. In the last year of their middle school, prospective students can submit their application, which is then placed into a lottery system. Ten students from each of the six counties are drawn, making a class of sixty for each year. Accepted students are required to attend the Summer Bridge program, where students are given team building exercises and encouraged to socialize to bring down the county barriers/ eek out antisocial students and get them socializing. This is where I made most of my friends for my highschool life.
Then it's simple. Due to technicalities, some college courses can count for highschool courses, so the five years are basically mapped out to ensure as many students as possible stay on track and graduate with their Diploma and Associate Degree. It is not easy. My graduating class had 34 students left in it, and about 16 (myself included) got their degrees.
Due to small class sizes, teacher-student relations are as close as family relations. It really helps with the rigorous course structure. This also promotes a sense of family within the class, and makes attending a really relaxing thing, as long as a student doesn't get caught up in socializing.
Here's the retrospective, to get a more straightforward look at the students I graduated with. He focused more on memories than the actual school system, but with this post and his cinematography, one should get a whole picture.
Also, he used songs from Katawa Shoujo as the background music per my advice.
Alright, boring post over. Later, yo
