We woke up to find these on our front lawn:

Yes, we have been pranked with plastic flamingos. They actually came with a note--it's a fundraiser from a local school. If you can call extortion a fundraiser, hah. We have to pay the kids to take the flamingos away. We even get to chose whose lawn they end up on next, muahaha. And for a further "donation", we can purchase insurance, ensuring that the pink plastic flock doesn't make its way back, necessitating further payment. Clever.

Back in my day we had to go door to door with catalogs, trying to wheedle money out of old ladies. Why didn't we think of this? Much more efficient. But...

You damn kids! Get off my lawn!

Oh fundraisers... I just bought some overpriced (and probably not very tasty...) pumpkin bread from one, and yeah, I remember having to sell stuff too. This was definitely a much more entertaining way to raise money. I bet the kids are a lot more enthusiastic about it too.

I was lazy, I just had my mom bring all said catalogs in to work with her. If we did stuff like this I'd have been way more inclined to participate, lol.
