Digital Life

For fellow PS3 users, no doubt you've seen this game plastered all over the PSN store, as it's both a new release and a weekly deal. On the surface it touts itself as an old skool style RPG, with its generically clever title that is clearly a mashup of Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy.

Well. I picked it up mostly out of boredom. I played for perhaps 30 minutes before recognizing I'd made a terrible mistake. This is a game trying to emulate the charm of classic RPG franchises and failing, because it has none of its own. Filled with juvenile humor and sexism, it's basically what you imagine a 15 year old fanboy would make with a pirated copy of RPG Maker. Ugh. Avoid.
